Think tribes2 except that you don't get to have fun until you play the game a certain amount. Imagine DAoC RP-farming except that you can't cast anything except a crappy DD until you're R2, then you get bolts at R3, then GTAE at R4, then PBAE at R5, and so on. More interesting 'keep take' equivalents, and bingo... PS.
Oh, and the monthly fee of course.

Did we play the same game? You start with enough cert (think spec) points to get any skill in the game, so you can start out being able to do as much or as little as you want (gun skills versus medic skills for example). You can get another 2 cert points doing the training, which means you can (in almost all cases) get 2 certificates, eg gun skills AND medic skills. You can get to the action straight away and join in, and have a chance to make a difference (very unlike daoc). Personally I found it a refreshing alternative to daoc, and I had fun from the moment I started.
You have to admit, with daoc you do have to do a lot of PvE and stuff before you can even attempt RvR...
Oh and Sissyfoo.. dooooo ittttttttt get PS, it's great!
And I'll be playing Vanu Sovereignty (damn that is not the easiest word to spell) so make sure you do too and we can team up and kick some TR and NC ass![]()
i havnt played ps yet, but what you've just said contradicts every beta review i've read about PS. everyone says it rocks coz theres good action immediatly. they say a lvl 1 newbie thats JUST started could technically kill the hardest of hard top lvl people, it depends more so on the skill of the actual player in this game than it does on the lvl of the char.Originally posted by old.LandShark
