i just started on DAOC and really feel like ive started like 1 year to late :/
tho i find it a very interesting game, its just slowly dying out in whine and blabla..


read something the other day it said: "when the game starts becoming a job and you just keep playing just to complete it, etc become lvl50 or LGM in bla, its time to quit."

for me it looks like there are way to many ppl that whines whenever they loses a relic, mids are overpowered irc blabbers and so on.

Why not just look it on the funny side?
Now we can take it back again and having fun doing it. And if it doesnt success, then so what? Luckily there will be a tomorrow

Skipped thane and hunter and played zerk from start and skipped savage I guess and generally focused more on rvr. Would have started with the FFA system earlier for raids.

Hmmm, well I'd still have kepted my sb as my 1st char in game but the difference would have been +10/15 con instead of alots of qui also maybe would have taken less then over a year to lvl etc grrrr.

I wouldn't change a thing. I played my infil when stealthing wasn't fotm, zergy and unbalanced. I still remember the spectacular getaways the skilled stealthers used to pull off. You could see when you were up against a 'Creep' or a plvld copy cat just by the way he moved. Stopped playing him not long after RAs were introduced because as an infil then (and now) you didn't have much to fear until the buffed SZs started popping up and even then it was a 70/30 win situation for the infil.

Leveling up on PVP was my greatest DAOC experience. The battles were the biggest and most intense I'd been part of. This was partly due to them all having a purpose. After everyone hit 50 and the relics were secured there was nothing to fight for it was just a mindless zerg of alliances, early morning raids and port camping.

After that prydwen turned into my home and was a great place for group combat up until the latest patch. Still fondly remember the great battles we had with SOTL and MM. Sadly its all gone down hill now.

I've gone back to lvling up some characters on alb/excalibur and playing a bit of RVR on ALB/MLF.

The only thing I'd have changed is adding +10 pie instead of int on my PVP SM

I thought about this a bit and you know, really can't say !

If thinking whether I'd still do "it all again", leveling the characters I have now and doing all the stuff I've done.
Sure I'd do it, had loads of fun.

Currently I play all my characters almost daily except the Belorym the Savage who is mostly being used as mule since right now I enjoy my Warrior more when I feel like playing tank. But I had fun leveling and exploring SI lands with him, so I'd still make him
And I'm sure Belorym isn't ready to retire yet either so he's just taking a vacation from everyday playing until I play him more again

I would have started at Hib/excal instead of Hib/pryd.

Same class, cass doesn't matter imo, the game is going in circles and all classes get to be uber for a while (well, apart from mentalists perhaps ).

And i wouldn't put 10 emp and 5 charisma on my eldy.
