Yeah i intended to go high body spec because of the intended nerf to mezzes, but having said that I realise that albion has a shocking lack of good CC so high mind would benefit the realm

The impending nerf to mezzes is, to my mind, completely right and justified. Of course its not much fun for the primary crowd control classes of the 3 realms ... and of those sorcerers will have it the worst, as they don't have the other great skills of the bards and healers.
But for the rest of us -- thank goodness
Standing around on the battlefield being chain stunned and mezzed is not fun...
In any event its likely that even with the impending mezz nerf a good mezz will swing engagements with the enemy. But hopefully the days of it being the be all & end all of battles will be over.
But yes, Yussef is correct -- you chose a good class, see it through to the end.

But tbh you shouldnt ask what class the realm needs, you should try to find the class you like playing the most and stick with it, otherwise its likely that you'll get bored faster.
But if you insist Im gonna have to agree with Yussef, some more sorcs wouldnt be bad since we really dont have a lot.

It's ok saying that gombur, but for example I might enjoy playing an infiltrator, but i think this huge trend of infiltrator creation is desroying the spirit of the game

couldnt agree more. I played with my ickle lvl 11 infil alt the other day I asked for a group and the reply I got was
"nah we already have 3"
I feel sorry for all the new players, who wanted to play an infil, that only just got the game.
You cant go anywhere these days without seeing one.
But like I said try to lvl some chars to 7 (with some earth buffs, you should be able to do this somewhat fast) and see how they're like.

To be honest, we don't have _that_ many level 50 infiltrators. What will help the realm the most is if you play a character up to 45+ and get involved in RvR. And that's most likely to happen if you pick a class you enjoy playing!
(I'd add: we always need more minstrels, and rejuv/enhance clerics too )

Some classes only get good after lvl 10 or 20.
The cabalist for instance only REALLY get's interesting after you get the Sapphire pet with the hp drain proc (and this is NO joke, I played one
)

Ive been playing Redi the merc for months now, and im still only 33rd... I play him cos i enjoy playing a merc. Now in the time ive been building to this gargantuan height of training, ive seen many people at 10th or 15th or something, then within the fortnight, see them wearing epic armor, charging into the frontier. Ok, if youve been playing this game long enough to have worked out what it is you enjoy doing, then yes, powerlevel if you like, straight to 50, then take every keep, go on a relic raid, kill a dragon & legion.... then... ah, "THIS GAMES RUBBISH! Its got no long term appeal this, theres so many limitations..." blah blah blah, oh shut up!
It doesnt matter what you play, although i salute you for showing enough concern that you did the asking around to find out where you would be most useful, just play something you enjoy, the way you enjoy playing them otherwise you'll turn a pasttime into a job and wheres the fun in that?
Although i can reccommend Healing Clerics, as they are always needed and are quite fun to play too...

robillard if i were u i wouldn't really give two shits about "the realm" when it comes down to it only one person matters YOU! Going the "ill make a class that helps realm" is poop in my mind, best ya make a char that will make you happy and one that will own people!

Minstrel is a speed bot, very dull in RvR. I wouldn't advise you to roll one unless pounding a drum all day is your idea of fun.
Theurgist mez is too short range to be useful, root isn't as useful as a sorc's mez, pets are ok...
Sorcs are needed more than theurgs, though theurgs are easy to level if you have pbt.

What Albion needs...
As far as I can see, all we need are polite and intelligent people playing characters that they enjoy playing, and learning how to make the best use of the class skills and abilities.
Pick whichever classes you think you'll have fun playing, learn how to use their abilities, and find a few like minded friends to group, hunt and chat with. Nothing more needed.....

Yes, you get an awesome nuke when you spec body, a lifetap to be precise, and a health transfer, which can be a life-saver at times
