Nice idea mate, but it doesn't work does it.
Take the natural resource point you make. Ok, so its taken millions of years to produce, but how exactly are the masses going to make use of it? Unless someone drills for it (dangerous) and then refines it so its useful (costly) its not much of a resource really, is it?
As for the political system point you made, well there's good points in favour of both I suppose. One thing I would like to say is that with the first past the post system, at least you don't get wankers like the BNP sitting in the House of Commons. Also with proportional representation, you get a lot more voices from different areas, which sounds fine in principal, but I think you'll find that in pratice all it means is that more spanners get thrown in the works due to more vested interests, so nothing actually gets done.
Prop Rep would require cross party union and we all know thats NEVER going to happen.

in essence I think I'm a socialist/communist - I believe in everyone being treated the exact same, with the same opportunities, and to be allowed to live in peace without being capitalised upon by others.
