Something you may want to wake up to is that this is a public message board. People can post what they like on it and, as such, threads are somewhat dynamic in that their topic can change. Get used to it, or go and start your own message board.

From what I can see, Tom didn't start the flaming. You (and VodkaFairy) did. You can't expect to do something as contentious as quoting from Greenpeace and not expect people to challenge it.

I take offense to the term "downie" being used. Either relating to someone who has down syndrome or Robert Downie Jnr. I think that for that comment alone Adari should be banned and not let back. Ever.

clearly you see a completely different world to most people here.. you have in the last few days caused incitement and provoked people to respond with harsh criticisms to stuff you have posted which in regards is not highly slanderous but is seen as annoying and offencive towards people on this board (and most probably people who frequent this board anonymously.. hello lurkers! )

clearly your "joke" of calling someone a "downie" (in this regards Shovel) is not just breaching the CoC in regards abuse and slander, but is also down to being classed as racist, and attacking people who are inflicted with the illness of Downs Syndrome. Im sure if you were aware of a friend or person attached to your family who suffered from that disability you would not have been so niave to use it in a slanderous way.

its all simply cause and effect, you cause the ruckus by posting stuff which is offencive, people will naturally fight back and it will escalade into somewhat of a flame war.

My take on the situation is that Tom did diliberately provoke certain members, adari created that thread. For about an hour we almost had a mini forum war. Jup turned up and stopped it.
