Well Lou's gone down to sunny Bognor for a few days to do a few talks to kids in schools about her book and see her parents. I decided now would be a good time to network up my house. Been meaning to do it for ages and I've been able to beg or borrow all the bits I need to do the job. I just can't decide on the best way to route all the cabling and as such have been fannying about all day. So far I have:
Cleaned the toilet
Cleaned the sink
Cleaned the bath
Made the bed
Had lunch
Emptied a broom cupboard so I can drill a hole to see how many cables I can get through.
Wrench a plank off the wall of said cupboard that supported the old boiler. It was held on by 8 masonary nails and was a bastard to get off. It's left some nice holes in the wall by the way. (sorry Lou).
Drilled a hole (managed to fit three cables through by the way, nice and snug)
Emptied the dishwasher
Fixed the cat ladder on the cat's moewtropolis (cat tower). This involved jigsawing the right size bits of metal from a sheet of aluminium, drilling screw holes in it and carefully attaching it to the flimsy chipboard that is the cat ladder. Not that they care....
Fed the cats
Browsed the interwebnet. (I even tried to help out in the techy forum)
Erm. I think that's it for the most part. There's was a lot of pottering about in between all those things too. Watching the cats play, fussing the cats etc...
Now I have the excuse that it's too dark and wet to do anything outside so it'll have to wait till tomorrow. Soon it'll be too late to drill any more holes too cos of the neighbour.
Arse.
