Seeing how I turned out as the "bad guy" in this post since I was the only one to react negatively.

If you have surfed the forums like me (and I imagine you do) there is a lot of post I too react to. All post that involve personal treats, slur and so on is uncalled for. I agree.
But GOA represented by MagnusK and IainC has recieved many constuctive post the last weeks regarding bringing up the account server ahead of time and they have both posted several posts that there will be no problems and that everything will work fine.
If you want I can probably provide links.
I do not pity them for doing their job, even though it is not probably their fault.
Untill I see some actual working solutions, their words are hollow and smell of PR fluff.
They need to earn the trust of the community.

Regarding the CC system, I will use paypal since I do not trust anything remotely connected to GOA until I see some proof that they know what they are doing.

Nothing personal against you here Scorba but maybe rational adult people have pm'd or emailed their thanks to Magnus and Iain over the very difficult job they are doing at a very stressful time rather than doing what the typical irate child here is currently doing which is flooding the forum with useless crap at a time when a quality community resource is really needed.

Isn't that the point of the non information threads? As for quality community resource, my award for that goes to Mark Jacobs for showing us what customer service might be.

I bet if he had the time Mark Jacobs would post on every fansite. I suppose the role of FreddysHouse is a little different but it's just not a very nice place for people to discover right now. As for non-information threads those are surely entirely the responsibility of 'us' and how we use and/or abuse them will dictate how this forum is viewed from outside. If all people want is a website dedicated to letting off steam about recent events I'll gladly throw one together and get it stickied from here. But of course people have the right to vent but there's even a good and bad way to do that. Unfortunately there is a lot of repeat whine thread posting, childish petitions and polls and downright rudeness. I know how hard the mods are battling to try and keep this place sane, I'm glad for the sake of diplomacy I'm not a mod or I think I would have banned at least half of the idiots here already.

The flash problem is a client side attack anyway, your at more risk looking a porn and dodgy chinease warez sites tham the GOA flash site.

As long as YOU have patched your flash version your safe, i dont particularly like websites made of flash due to performance and rendering issues.
