There has been alot of talk about the missing friar robe.
Well the thing is its me they suspect. I've been asked by Falcor to post this and as requested I do. It is me they suspect of the theft, and cuz of spams i aint putting my real name out there.

All i can say is that i didnt steal it and whatever people think i couldnt care less. Another thing that has been requested by Falcor is that i let me gm have a look in my acount and on that also i have done as requested.
I'm asking u to let Falcor handle this and dont spam agro.
I can say that my gm didnt find any lost friar robes and that he will talk to Falcor about the details. I also know most of u wont accept this, i cant do anything more i dont have it!
So far Falcor has handled everything with skill and i hope he will continue to do just that.

Yeh, so one robe goes missing... so what? I mean it's not the end of the world... this kind of thing doesn't happen very often. All I'm hoping is it's just a bug in the game and not some selfish cunt actually running away with the drop.

To be honest, if everytime you logged into the game you were instantly spawn killed, would you call it 'just pixels in a game' and laugh and not get annoyed? Somehow I doubt it. To be honest, I don;t care about the drop as I'm not a friar but falcor is just covering his back because some people will otherwise flame him. Try and think more about it before posting because to say its only pixels in a game is a silly way of analysing it because different things anmnoy different people.
Real life time spent at a raid to ultimately gain an item to make your free time a tad more enjoyable, whats so wrong with that?

I have no clue what robe ur talking about and no clue what raid this happend and no who is blame and no clue whether the drop was good or bad...

tbh, im quite clueless...

but if a pic shows some1 picking it up, i say PM the mofo into oblivion until its returned.... that way ppl will learn NOT to steal from others.... Since we cannot beat him up irl, we have to do the next best thing: getting him so pissed at this game he'll leave !

Guys ... you may be upset ... but trust me, worse things happen ... so get a perspective and move on.

This IS a game, it's not real ... it is not a REAL robe, you are NOT really a Friar/Scout/Armsman etc ... and if you think you are I know the number of a good psychologist

I really don't get how people go on about it being just a game, especially someone who has spent as much time playing it as you.

Yes you are right, its just a game, football is just a game, Hockey is just a game, for many people betting is just a game, well done we've established that.

Its ok to get pissed off when sportsman use drugs etc but not ok for someone to get pissed off about cheating in daoc.

I would get pissed off if a bokkie stole from me but no wait just daoc, you get stolen from its fine and dandy, just a game.

I will also admit there are limits like the guy threatening physical violence, thats unacceptable in any game as it is in daoc which as you pointed out is also a game but for the most part people saying its just a game when something occurs people find unfair pisses me off, oh wait shit sorry, just a game.

Not sure why this now has two active threads but come on does not take a genius to work out the guy just fucking took the drop end of story.

Like i said in the other thread, no bogus picture, no dodgy code, not even an act of God, He simpley got the drop in the auto split and thought hmm thats nice think i keep that.... end of story.

Only punishment worthy is a name and shame and no raid invited until apology and loot returned.

Even if it was a bug and it disappeared (which even RightNow disagrees) I'd say it's upto the person in questions to make reparations in some way, if only to show they're genuine and to discourage other people from trying to emulate this.

If (s)he didn't get the drop and is being punished unfairly? impossible for us to tell - and I'd be pretty pissed off were it me, but letting them off scot free when even the customer services said they got the item? just asking for trouble

What could make up for the robe though? Something slightly greater in value (to that person... no junk loot they can't use).

And who would it go to? the friars on the raid?

Or perhaps this person is allowed on raids, but the moment they win a lottery - they don't get the item, it goes to whoever came second in the lottery and they're once again free.

Whilst I'd hate to punish some innocent person - there's no reasonable doubt to their guilt, and so the onus is on them to make up for it.

It´s not that simple.
If the guy has the drop and is getting away with it, I will think twice before I´m going to join another Sidi Raid because more and more drops will dissapear in the future. After all, it has happened once.. so why not again?
However, if the guy really doesn´t have the drop (because it´s a bug and it really just dissapeared), I will think twice before I´m going to join another Sidi Raid because the same thing might happen to me next time and I don´t want to be in that position.
