The D pad on my nokia 7610 has just died. I know I need a new phone, but is there anyway to view the calender messages to jot down anything important.

I'm using the Nokia PC Suite that allows you to backup your phone files, but is there anyway to view these backed up files from the pc?

The nokia site goes on about "Nokia PC Sync
allows you to synchronise contacts, calendar, notes and to-do items between a compatible phone and a compatible PC Personal Information Manager (PIM)." so there must be a way? :/

'Compatible PC Personal Information Manager' generally means Outlook. I've never known a phone to Sync with anything else on a PC.

Failing that, if it's Bluetooth and you've got a friend with a Mac then iSync might be your saviour. Roll on Windows Vista's better (looking, at least) support for syncing devices.

it'll cost ya, but it basically dumps your entire phone. might be able to do what you want with the trial version though

I've played about with the nokia suite and managed to backup the phone. Also played with outlook and managed to save my numbers and calender alerts.

Only problem now is I want to delete the sms, contacts and calender information on my nokia (dont want repair company reading them).

Is there a way to do it through nokia suite? I can sync with outlook but if there is nothing to sync it keeps the data on the phone :/

Is there a way to do a hard reset of the phone? Will the memory blank if you remove the battery? Just a couple of thoughts.
