and a 200 year old copy of Le Morte d'Arthur I'm still trying to read
Always really, really enjoyed losing myself in a good book. It's still imo, one of the best ways of just escaping from all the crap that real life throws at you.
Would love to own a big collection for sure. Shagrat's collection looks great and we share similar interests. Out of all the books I have read though only a few really stick in my memory - Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter (yeah yeah), War and Peace believe it or not - damn good read, and lots of Stephen King books - shit loads are in my memory come to think of it. At the moment though I am reading stuff about dead bodies which seems to be all the rage. Wish to hell I had built up a big stack for sure but then again you always need new books to read else you are only going over old ground. Yeah - old books are ok but I needs new books I tell you! Can anyone point me somewhere where I can get 10 or so books for a fiver or something including postage?
I have no idea how many books i have but when i moved to Qatar from London it was well over twenty big fuck off boxes and it has expanded greatly since i moved out here as i seem to have a lot more time to read since i moved here.
Fantasy, fiction, historical, classical etc. Vey nice and wide collection.
Loads, whenever I am forced into going into town I come back with a couple. Had to get rid of a load before we moved. moving again in a month so will have to get rid of some more. Will read pretty much anything except biographys or autobiographys, don't interest me in the slightest.
I have way too many books, I voted 50-100 but if i think about it, all the ones my brother has which I have read easily takes it too 200-300 without a doubt. I have to read, I love it so much, after I pick up one I have to finish it!
the Gaunts Ghosts series by Dan Abnett is awesome!
lol i got tonnes and bags of books i rescued from being pulped at the library too!
my boss doesnt like to let me do the pulping now because i end up rescuing more than i pulp (books are usually only pulped because they are knackered but its still harsh)
ive got 57 here at uni just counted, my room not so big next year so need to find aspace got loads back at my parents too, not bad for a 20 year old. im always buying books, going through a 1000 to read before you die also amazon/play always having offers where decent books are only like £1.50 cant argue with that, rest are autobiographies and sociology/psychology books
Probably read about 80, and have at least that on my shelves I haven't got around to - I am a bit OCD with wanting to do stuff in order, for example I have 20 Terry Pratchett books and have only done the first 3.
Games and forums distract me!
And have 2 signed David Gemmell books that I'm afraid to open. Stupid I know.
