unless you're one of those guys with the humungous abomination boob fetishes ofcourse
Na its hard work but it pays off; as long you don't work the same muscle group 2 days in a row you're fine. I do chest/tris - lats- shoulders/biceps - legs - day off then back to the cycle. I do pyramiding to shock the body, one week high reps, next week low maxs and mixed reps etc. But I started 2 years ago on high reps, 3 sets of 12 reps on each exercise and that’s still my main now, high reps instead of low reps.Vladamir said:Overtraining ftw
Me?. 6ft1 and 14 stone. Bulking phase atm though so to be expected![]()
That is very bad advice; protein shakes won't help put on weight or lose weight. Protein is there for one thing, muscle growth and recovery you're body will only use Protein when there are no fats and carbs left. He needs to eat 6 times a day of clean carbs i.e. pasta, brown rice and good fatts.MaCaBr3 said:Ur awfully skinny dude!
If you wanna gain mass, I think u'll have to start drinking protein shakes or something.
Most protein shakes like musclemilk and maximuscle etc are not just whey protein shakes. I don't read a lot of weightlifting webpages only one I try and help people on is the American http://bodybuilding.com I experience it first hand and done a lot of biology and reading.Marc said:Mate of mine put on about 12 pounds, just by drinking protein shakes on top of his normal balanced diet.
The rugby team I play for has a link up with Maximuscle, those needing to put on a bit more mass are given protein supplements (amongst other things)
Dont believe everything you read on these weightlifting web pages. Most of it is just horseshit

I know that's why I said I don't train the same muscle group more then 2 days a row, for the lats I use a machine, wide grip front, behind the neck and close grip t bar front. My high rep weight on lats is 65kg which I’m pretty impressed with. I like my training scheme it works great, I'm in the gym for 1hour - 1hour - 30 max a day.Vladamir said:Assuming you do chins for your lats then your biceps and to some extent your shoulders are instrumental in these movements as synergists. Any more than 2 days in a row and your not giving yourself optimal recovery, imo.

Just a standard cable and pulley machine none of that smith shit I always use free weights and an Olympic Bars.
u suck arse..... with a strawVladamir said:Shouldn't do behind the neck else you're in for much more risk with rotator cuff and sholder injuries, and machines suck arse![]()
I'm fine with behind the neck but I don't do a behind the neck press on shoulders I use DBS instead. The only machine I use is the same one for lats and tris and it's is custom built, I love it not only does it do lats it works the back of my neck/upper back great. I would never go back to chin ups, and yea I agree machines suck arse ive never used one apart from lats and I wouldn't want to.Vladamir said:Shouldn't do behind the neck else you're in for much more risk with rotator cuff and sholder injuries, and machines suck arse![]()
Exactly I don't I usually like to isolate my musclesVladamir said:Even though cable machines are a lot better than resistance equipment i still prefer the basics much more. Chins will work a hell of a lot more muscles than any lat based machine though i guess depending on your goals you may not want to train all these in one go.
Been training seriously for about 7 months now, Squat/Deadlift at 100/110 so far![]()
With a body fat above 30% you're classed as obese the best way to test is to get some callipers and do it properly them graphs are useless.OohhoO said:I put overweight but according to that graph I'm obese =/
