Housing - Respecting guild/alliance slots

Am I missing something? Can you not port straight to your house and port straight out again?? Whats it matter where abouts it is?

I dont know too much about it so maybe there is a very good reason for a prime location. Also, I take it that if someone is sat on a plot, noone else can buy that plot? Or are they just hoping that other ppl respect the fact that they have dibsies on it?

I can see that guilds/alliances will want houses close together to share facilities etc but Im sure there will be plenty of houses clumped together that are available somewhere.

Aye, and aside from what you point out below, not much.

You can't block a marker, no matter how hard you try, there is even slash commands to target them. Respect for 'dibsies' atm is intended only to allow alliances/guilds/friends to group up, and that's only a positive effect, PL for one are going to respect it, so no worries.

Each village has 10 lots, which covers most alliance needs for starters. It gets only slightly more complicated when guildsmen wish to build private property clustered together, but there is still more space than we can currently use up available (even without the 4th housing zone), and so many of the villages are within eyeshot of each other that a vurt guild ghetto is easily doable all over the housing zones.

If someones sat at a mob for 2 hrs afk, and i want that mob, i'll pull it.
The system was implemented as a FFA. I dont have the luxury of being able to sit in game camping "my spot". If a plot comes within my price range and is not physically taken, i'll take it.

Take from camelot-europe

Buying the lot :

Housing lots prices decrease over time. In order to enable to as many people as possible to have a chance to get a lot, the prices are deliberately set very high at 120 platinum at the release of the expansion. This price will then decrease every hour (real time hour) by 500 gold, to reach a bottom price of 1 platinum after about a dozen days. You have the choice to buy the lot at the desired price, taking into account that as time passes the number of available lots will decrease, because of the increasing numbers of buyers

I dont see anywhere in the above text "Except for Rylestone lot number 2 cos Nee wants it"

i respect some allainces/guilds wish to be together and i know mine does and i think the plot communicationt hing is fine BUT if someone wants to live somewhere scenic regardless of if an alliance/guild has choosen that spot for the same reasons that is their given right. They should not be made to feel bad people or asses jsut because they want a scenic spot just like the guild an alliances.

After all if u want to be with guild/alliances then ud choosea remote village nota scenic one which is likely to be popular.

The communication thing is one thing and yes it will save money but u must also be careful not to outcast people that wanta scenic spots that have right to them as much as you. This isnt just about guilds/alliances its individuals and the realm.

The people are players jsut like ur alliances/guilds and after the same things also and chances are most will want the scenic spots so this plot arrangement thing will probably not be settled.

Oh I dunno laddie, saying you and I ran upto Rylestone lot number 2 at the same time ready to buy it, we could haggle over a bottle of whisky waiting for the price to drop, flip a coin and choose that or the one next to it.

As scunner points below you, people have the capacity to communicate, nothing has to automatically boil down to, "I'll bugger you up before you screw me over?" ;)

In addition, the crafter is taking the risk that it actually takes, say, 15 makes (as one I made recently did), and actually costs the crafter 1332 gold (again, assuming the Tailor didn't charge a markup, 10-15% is common).
Lucky tbh, taken me over 30 makes to get a 99 before.

Spot on scunn , i think that's the biggest issue here, noone would really care if these campers were marking out a village nobody wanted , but the fact is Geldwhine for one is in a very scenic spot close to a market and that seems to be the issue.

Heres what we did in hib/excal for houses.. since most guilds want to have a main guild hosue with their guild members homes around it in the same town:
http://forums.game.net/showthread.php?threadid=93925

Maybe try something like that guys? or are most guilds just getting a guildhouse and not personal homes too ?

Hmm.. where to put T30s guildhouse on thursday :))
all my money on alb can go to some use :)
