Housing - Respecting guild/alliance slots

Greetings,
So yesterday Foundations finally went live. First thing was to check nice places for the guild/alliance houses. Lots people on the move, most respectful folk, some maybe little less so.

Also discussion inside alliances and among alliances and guilds about respecting "reserved" slots, well of course there are no game built laws in that one, only honour to respect guild reserved house locations.

Advantage in this, is shortly that we ALL keep the extra platinum in our pockets and in guilds funds for future use. Save the platinum for rams, as reserve for relic keep defences, keep door repairs, armours and weapons to make pryd albion realm stronger and keep our relics also in future.

Let the mids and hibs waste their platinum in lust for those "best" spots and purchase them in total chaos loosing their plat in doing so ! dont be scammed by few who might not respect reservations.

Message is short one: Let the house slots prices go down, respect guild/alliance house places and dont pay ridiculously high prices, what i ask as behalf of realm success is patience & respect.

Never did like being told what to do.

Just out of interest, who is to say what lot has been reserved and why? What if two guilds/alliances decide to reserve the same lot? I think the inbuilt system of high prices will be more than adequate to "reserve" lots.

Yup, just tiny guilds like mine with stupid GM (like me :( ) suck due to high prices. (I thought we can buy them with guild BPs as well...)

Even with less money u will still get a house maybe not in the most scenic patch but ur still get one. I dont think size of a guild effects it too much tbh i know plenty of people with more cash individually than my guild.

In my/our case it means = only 6 ppl can spare 1-2 plats, not 50. :)

ps.:
Personally I don't care where will we buy it. :)

as far as i know the only way to reserve a lot is to buy it, hence the name REVERSE AUCTION

btw you guys are silly... there are over 300 lots and on most US servers that are as big as prydwen there are still about 100 lots free in the non-4th zones (the 4th zone has very few taken lots)

True as that may be, we arent gonna have the luxury of the 4th zone for quite some time.
And i also dont care where my little cottage is gonna be.

what i was saying is that that the northern and western zone only have 50% of the lots taken, and the southern (new zone) has about 15% taken :p

prydwen probably doesnt even need the 4th zone

I seriously doubt 3 guild members standing on plot 1 will <reserve> it from anyone that has the money tbh.

Its designed as a free for all and thats what it will be.

oh btw please please please dont take the plot i want. I know its the one nearest the horse/market/hastner/entrance but please respect me and dont buy it.

I seriously dont think you have thought out the reasons for buying plot 1.

about 3% of people will enter via the gate. Most will port in , either to own house or guild house. Some will release house. Once inside the zone , theres going to be several hundred teleporters. Im sure most will port out to goth cs snow or even camelot. Why would they run past your house?

sigh

yup

its called a REVERSE AUCTION!!! in auctions the one with most money usually gets what he wants :p

also alot of people have been farming money for ages and i doubt they will let people saying that they 'resevered' the lot have it :p

so if you want a lot so bad THEN GET THE CASH!!!!

Well so far, it is working out in our little neck of the woods. There is a small area with a few people "reserving" their guild's spots and everyone seems to be respecting this layout.

I'm sure there will be a few asses out there, but I for one would rather wait and spend a lot less and get a better house then only be able to afford a cottage with no amenities right now.

This is a great opportunity for Albion to show that we aren't all out for ourselves and respect others desire to live in the same area as their friends/alliance mates.

Oh and btw, there are still tons of great lots available so don't worry guys. I know many of you might because finding a lot (forget about a good one, it was very overcrowded) on Gorre, but that was open to everyone.

Reserving a spot is BS in this case, i could log my soggy alt at the best spot evah until the price drops to 1p/lot, then buy it. Every n00b couldclaim a spot close to uber facilities while some guilds have crap spots, it's not gonna work, ffa, reverse auction, biggest wallet wins, the way it's intented and the way it'll go...

what gives someone the right to reserve a spot though? its done on cash as an impartial fair way and no i havent got loads of cash but i think this reservng a plot fora guild isnt that good tbh.

To reserve a spot simply get loads of your guild members to stand round the lot stone so no-one can click on it.

On a more serious note I think we should aim for happy villages. This being that if a house is already erect in other people should have the curtsey to check with that owner if they mind having a lovely neighbour.

Er... Perhaps not asking permission to have your house next to someone.

It would be nice if you could "get to know" your neighbours though, we could have our own mini soap operas! :)

As for respecting guild//alliance slots...

Yay!

I'm sorry but what gives TDS and PL the right to reserve such lovely spots in geldwhine, if anything is pathetic i think it's 24/7 plot campers who think they they have some ordained right to the spot, if someone with enough money comes along and buys it at a high rate , it's their choice and tbh have as much right to it as you , far from being pathetic imo.

edit various spelling mistakes ;o

Wow, disagree with anyone and you are whining. I don't think I was but oh well.

We certainly don't feel its our right or anything like that to keep those spots. If you want them go ahead and spend the 95 or so plat, you are welcome to it. If anyone can afford that much, it would probably be TLW and Flesh. Heck I bet you have enough to buy every single lot in Geldwine if you want. I was merely trying to suggest that we try to be neighborly and thoughtful. Yes I agree that anyone can come and take any spot they want. I would rather people not take our spot but if they do, its not that big of a deal, we can go elsewhere. BTW we don't have "campers" there 24/7, but we do regualarly check in on the price and sit there. Its more to let those in Unity know which lot is wanted by whom.

I would think its a given that guilds/friends will want to live near each other, is only human nature. And knowing this, I am sure that most alliances or guilds have staked out the village they want to all live in. I personally would not want to go and take a lot in a village of people I don't get along with, but then again that's me. Some people thrive on pissing people off and ruining people's day and will do this I am sure.

Personally I would have thought everyone would be running for a spot on Waterford, that was our first choice. In fact the only reason we didn't go there was because we figured everyone else would go there too. I honestly don't know what has upset you so Hro, if you want to talk to me in person in game please do so. If anyone has been anything but pleasant to you, it is our duty to make sure that is sorted. From what I have seen, no such problems have arosen yet. I know that The Grey Company, while not in Unity, have been reserving a spot in our village and we have no problem with that. So you see, while we are trying to save the spots in the village for Unity members, there is nothing stopping anyone from moving in too.

And btw, the reason we are trying to do this is exactly for the reason Scunner stated. We don't have that much and have worked really hard (as I am sure the rest of you have) to get the money together. So why not go out and find a nice spot that you like and choose a spot next to your alliance mates?

In the end it will be the person/guild who has the most money and buys the earliest. If this means we don't get the lot we want, we won't scream and yell and throw a fit and say how unfair. We will just go out and find a better spot.

Well said Kyra!
I totally agree and am fully behind the idea of guild leaders asking other guild leaders where they would like to live.
A whole alliance situated in the same village would be very nice!

i have not been offended by TDS or any other guild who wants a particular spot, what annoyed me was the fact that a person that wanted one of the nice spot that are "reserved" in geldwhine would be seen as pathetic if they bought it over the guild that "owned" it, This has nothing to do with my personal interests, having 9 plat myself i doubt i'll get a place there , and it certainly isn't the general view of my guild , as for wanting to be with my alliance mates, TLW isn't in an alliance so that's not a problem :)
