High tech catapults

Can anyone please explain to me .... I know that we are losing the war but why do we need to resort to chucking our own people into trebs and catapults to see results?

yeah i love the idea to net a kobold or luri and fire it with a catapult. Imagine the panic it would cause :clap:

It would be cool tbh if a player could consent to being catapulted, could aim into a keep, and just have the player land on 5% hps.
It would be find if it was a soloer as pretty certain death, and the sucess you get for doing it as a fg is a reward for the hastle of fireing all at the same time, with clerics with instas up etc.

yes and give arrows with fire dots for trebs and rams and keep doors :eek2:

and flaming torches which u can light stuff on fire


(lol did I go too far) - Maybe we can set people on fire too

Talking seriously, would be nice those types of features, i know, goa cant do anything, as mythic are the ones doing the game and patchs, but adding some little features like that, making the game more funny, would be very nice :)

Launching people in catapults.

More blood effects when u fight mele? :flame:

Some blood on weapons/armor/shield

Guys, a realm war is dirty :D


ANd another thing, i dont know the name, it was a siege item used in the middle age, was like a little wood wall with 2 wheels, wich had a little hole to fire arrows, it was used in sieges, from there, archers fired being safe, (more or less). i think could be nice ^^ is not very realistic that in a raid, people stand close to the wall i think ;p

If u want realism go and do it IRL ;)

(ROFL at the people who might actually do that taking a game so seriously... remember games getting banned for being a bad influence)

Tho there are features everyone wants to be added but for some reason they just dont add them :touch:

Actually Albs are currently testing this technique. It´s a Top Secret Project of course, lots of Scientists etc. are working 24/7 in the Caer Knox area. However, a small clip of one of the test sequences leaked out .

ye, fire arrows, disease shots (should be the easiest one - simple cata shot with pbaoe effect disease on impact), ladders etc. would be nice and would bring much more complex keep figths

Or how bout diggin' tunnels till the ground can't support the weight of the keep anymore, and it collapses, burying all the nasty albies... :D


[edit, on grounds of all fairness I should say albies, hibbies, or middies... but well, I really don't wanna] :p

Hmm, that would mean quite alot of changes in the game - coding, much more calculations etc... not so easy 2 do this (at least I guess so by experience with current game engine, don't have source codes of the game to tell exactly how difficult would such a change be).

maybe set a hut/cabine at 1250 range from the wall. needs 4ppl to "dig" (just stand there idle like on catapults, and press dig every 10sec or so). when the dig reaches 100% let the wall collapse. 50% faster then 3 trebs on a wall, because of the range difference. the hut can be shot ofc, and when it's destroyed, the ppl "digging" die, due the fact the are "under the ground" and get closed in.

dunno if its clear tho :eek6:

This is kinda half-way solution. Think DAoC is worth of more than half-way solutions...
