There's a lot of people asking of the high prices and I figured out a theory. Not like it's hard to get this though
Back in the day, midgard was very active in keeptakes and realm defence since they wished to have DF, to farm money. Back then many that farmed didnt salvage the seals themselves but to crafters that made money out of it, these that farmed used the money to make their SC sets, back then money "disappeared" to crafting MP parts and such.
Anyway, these crafters didnt allways bother to SC all their chars, but just exped them and the money kept on piling up "I got 6k seals atm, should maybe salvage em someday" and eventually while bored they did, not using it to anything thus there was lots of money in midgard.
Anyway, when ToA came people started wanting artifacts and drops, and since there was a lot of money the prices were equivalent to it. Now that everyone buys everything, and only a very smalll minority of the money is used to crafting, it just goes around.
I buy scroll from person B, who buys something from person, C who buy something from person D, so the money doesnt "disappear" it just changes owner.
This effectively leading that there's a high inflation
