Bah im going to get spammed now.
Seriously the number differance is a huge problem, we simply cannot match the number of people the other realms have.
TBH i would avoid fin4, its boring and doesnt teach you anything about your character.
As mentioned the best way to do it is to come as a group and work together.
ideal situation would be for a guild to move over but realisically its unlikely to happen.
trying to start here solo is hard, recently did a /who 19 23 and all i saw was 2 mentalists and 3 druids which arnt the best classes for soloing.
As far as the group side goes, its hard, i joined a group with fern and in 8 runs all we managed to do was kill a few soloer that we bumped into before getting rolled over.
this was with a fairly balanced group that didnt /disband after the first failure.
Most of the action is in emain and a random group cant survive there during primetime.
Odins is very hit and miss, sometimes there are groups there, sometimes nothing.
Wall is mostly a waste of time as the albs seem scared of thier frontier.
Managed to get Fern to CS and waited outside the gates for over an hour(primetime).
During this time all i saw were 2 mids (still unsure what a solo healer was doing there).
I would suggest a 'random group day' held in the wall or odins but it wouldnt work as some guild gank group would head there for easy kills.
Point is that for a random group waiting half hour to get people together then 10 minutes to run to emain only to be mezz/stun/ganked in less then 10 seconds isnt fun.
And when it happens repeatedly its no suprise people leave to do something else.
