HUGE grtas to all the Hibs that got 10 relics to the centre of Agramon today and waited in anticipation of the Mauler to be activated.
Its just a shame that GOA forgot or couldnt be arsed to run the file that changed the required amount of relics from 15 to 10 as they said they would in the Friday newsletter. And what do GOA have for us? a huge middle finger it seems. I just find it ironic that on the Friday newletter GOA say we hope we wont have to wait much longer for the Mauler...seems we do.

Says the 27th February, to me that means from 00:01 not in the evening, maybe goa should be more clear when saying that the numbers will be lowered that they mean it will be lowered in the evening

We can't put a time in the news because we'd get no end of complaints if for any reason we weren't able to keep to it. We don't give a time but we do have a checking mechanism so that people can see what the situation is at any given time precisely to avoid people jumping to conclusions and assuming that a change has been made.

We followed the advice of the official website we got the 10 which wasnt easy with the numbers we had. and when we do get 10 and the npc still says 15. we get told tough luck.

Should we now ignore all thats said on the website and asume that all information provided is incorrect. Its not really fair and i know a lot of people are very very unhappy at this turn of events.

It isn't incorrect though. The website says it will be changed every Tuesday and that is still the case. It will get changed and the Emissary will be updated at the same time - just as he was last Tuesday. The site tells you when it will change and the NPC tells you what the current situation is.

I understand that a lot of people are unhappy but a quick check would have told them what they needed to know. The advice of the official website is that the Emissary will keep you up to date, if you follow that advice there won't be a problem.

Just learn to cover your arses. Your website says the 27th, it doesn't mention that there could be problems and it doesn't clearly say who you needed to speak to, to check the number of relics required.

This is all you needed to put on your website:

"Random magic cow, who you can find in the throne room has noticed a weakening in the giant disco ball in the middle of agramon. He feels it won't be long before only 10 relics are required to unlock the new class. He feels sure it will be sometime within the next 72 hours but he will tell you when the time is near"

If you had done this nobody could have complained.

Let me think, what would of been the best way to implement this do you think - here are 2 choices.

1) Say the 27th, dont specify when on the 27th. Let a load of people go to the effort and then quibble about date and time semantics.
2) Say the 28th, do it during worktime on the 27th.

Ahh well, its not the end of the world, but the implementation and response is not less than I would of expected.

From what I read there Req it does not say Sometime on 27th and it don't say go see Bully in throne room either it says on 27th it reduces to 10 checked my calendar again and bugger me pink it still the 27th

Well, if you mean some time during the 27th, you write some time during the 27th. You don't write it can be done on the 27th. Those two statements are two different things.

I can understand that GoA is boored with this arguing about words and how they are interpreted, but as GoA never even once is able to bend the rules just a tiny little bit, and would never in their wildest dreams consider something like actually giving the mauler activated to hibs at this point, to accept their flaw, this is what it comes down to. Either you live by the EXCACT lines and rules of what you tell us, or you don't. I'd prefer you didn't, as some of the things in this game have to be considered by humanbeings, not machines, imo.

If they meant to implement it from 00:00:01 they probably would have formulated it. Now I can understand people are frustrated but having a rage against GoA like this, when it was possible ingame to actually check the needed number? Silly in my eyes and people tend to jump on the bandwagon.

i personally hope every realm get the mauler class asap than we dont have to listen to goa crap like what happend today anymore

Serhat, the NPC who is in charge of informing players about the procedure can now be found permanently by the doors to the throne room.
The required number of relics was given to you last week but we are going to provide you with the precise schedule for the Minotaur's demands since the number or relics will be reduced with time so that the less populated or organised realms can obtain the secret eventually as well. At the moment the Minotaurs are asking for 18 relics before sending in their trainers. This number will be reduced each Tuesday until it reaches 7. Next Tuesday, 15 relics will do the trick. 10 relics will be enough on Tuesday February 27th and only 7 of them will be needed on the 6th of March to satisfy the Minotaurs.

Note this is far from clear that you need to check with the NPC first, infact it is pretty clearly stating that 10 relics will be enough on tuesday. It really isnt as clear cut as your previous posts would have everyone believe.

Yes, reading the post it really doesnt put any emphasis on the NPC, but puts the emphasis on the fact that on the 27th it will change. The point is, why risk dissappointing people, why are we having a stupid conversation about semantics, the thing should of either been set for all of the 27th or call it the wednesday. It's simply imprecise and lax, but poor hibbies should of learnt by now to expect the worst case and not the best, so in that, we have to squarely bear the blame.

And I can never understand why there are so many people ready to be apologists for the service GoA offer on this cluster.

That would be a good point, if the last part we're correct. The very fact that at least 10 people went through the process attempting to activate the mauler when infact it couldnt be activated means there is indeed a case, even if that case is as small as getting a bit more clarity into the news.

For once GOA have an oppertunity to make things right by giving hibernia the mauler, dont feed us crap of how its not possible because there was a report of the mauler trainers accidentally getting spawned on US and taken away accidentally.

Seems here thats your spending your time making things worse requiel being pedantic. What you could do is admit your mistake, take 5 minutes giving hibernia mauler and put the amount of relics to 10 while your at it, your job is done you get no more whine, would even get praise and everyone is happy.

could have told you that did it with 2fg at 4am this morning only to check the npc in cammy still saying its 15 goa said it will drop today it dont state a time hence why i and now hibs should have checked with there npc in the capital city

This is appauling Requiel, get some better wording on your website..It has to be proofread so many times yet no one notices how the most important part is in the middle of two paragraphs, and some information isn't even there.
