I think assuming people are acting this way because they are young is a lot nicer than any other assumption you could jump to. And really you have to laugh at the definition of extreme authoritarian views... Honestly! Loxley spammed out multiple threads, publicly quoted a private request from a mod and immediately defied it (albeit in a jokey way, but the end is still the same, you can't have one rule for one and another for others), was campaigning and joking about an inevitable ban and then(shock, horror) it happened and he got a tinsy one week suspension (which he is already flouting blatantly). Feel the totalitarian oppression of this regime. Fear it .

And where exactly has this blood frenzy come from? Because Ziva has become a mod? So far all I can see is her taking things with good humour (far more than I think I would have in this situation) and occasionally moderating threads (which is what one would hope she would do, given that she's a mod). Now we have incidents of people sending abusive mails to moderators, and talks of an "anti-mod" war. To what end? To achieve what? For what reason?

Honestly, I really can't understand this, and if someone could explain it I would really like to know. Only a few days ago I was saying how nice Excal OT is now, how its really got it's own clique and quirky sense of humour, and now I'm feeling guilty for stopping being a mod and inflicting it on other people.

Yeah, real nice assumption. I'm fuck young compared to everyone else and I can act mature if I want, just because someone's young doesn't mean they're immature or bound to cause trouble. I'm not really sure about the abusive emails, as I haven't sent one, but imo, Lox really was just joking around. Bit of an overreaction if you ask me. Oh well.

absolutely true. the comment wasn't directed at his age (of which I have no knowledge) but at the way he chooses to express himself here, which is the only thing I can judge him on

I was saying its nicer than thinking people are being malicious, or deliberately trying to abuse all the mods for laughs, or just being bastards because they feel like it. I think its nicer to think people are acting in high spirits because they are younger than because they are deliberately being obnoxious. That's the way I personally see things.
