Heroes Season Finale Next Month?
Writers strike could turn December 3rd episode into the finale.

US, November 2, 2007 - As we related in our article about the writers strike beginning this Monday, Heroes is in a slightly better position than many other series when it comes to what could be a severely truncated TV season. Unlike the first season of the show, which told a story arc going across every episode, Season 2 had been structured to tell two or three smaller arcs. The current story (or "volume") is called "Generations" and was already set to wrap up on the December 3rd episode of the show, with the next volume intended to begin airing shortly after.

This gave the show a better place than most to prematurely end the season, as it least was intended as the culmination of several current plotlines. While more episodes have been shot beyond that, they would likely simply be held for whenever the show goes back into production, so that the next storyline doesn't have to be interrupted in the middle.

TV Guide's Michael Ausiello now reports that in addition, the producers of Heroes are going back and filming a new ending for that already completed December 3rd episode, which would better serve to turn the episode into a true season finale. If the strike is somehow averted, they wouldn't use this more specific ending and go back to the original footage they shot to lead into the next story arc.

The writers strike is set to begin Monday November 5th at 12:01 am PT, meaning the Heroes writing staff have until then to finalize the new ending.

Hayden Panettiere is a wanted woman - Japanese authorities have issued an arrest warrant for the Heroes star. The 18-year-old actress violently clashed with Japanese fishermen recently as she tried to save hundreds of dolphins from slaughter. The star was almost stabbed by fishing hooks aimed at the protestors during the protest, but felt compelled to show her opposition to the mass killing, which turned the sea red with blood. And now Panettiere is wanted by Japanese police. She says, "I learned today that I have an arrest warrant out for me in Japan because of what I did for Save the Whales." And the beauty is not scared of being sent to jail - because they'd have to catch her first. She adds of the incident's repercussions, "Potentially jail, but I doubt it... I guess they could come here and get us, but probably not."

Another decent episode, shame it only revolved around a few people - But the pieces of 8 in the pictures look to have been completed already? Thought it would have continued for the remainder of the season.

The Hiro segments were awesome, at least he now knows who killed his dad! The next few episodes are going to be quite interesting to watch.

The "Holy sh..." at the end of the episode was classic, had a giggle about that . But why would they revive him with Claires blood? That bit didnt make sense but i suppose we'll again find out over the next few weeks.

Fly boy didn't die, only let down in this episode! can see that Elle is questioning her loyalty to the company, the way she looks at her dad in the van definately seems that way. I was getting a bit riled about Noah dying, he rocks! He can't die!! But then he came back and all was happy again!

I'm getting a bit sick of the claire/bennet "i love you/ i hate you" thing. They played it out to death in series one. Mohinder's actions just left me baffled, he is still the most guillable idiot in the show. I do not understand why Bennet did not leave Elle doused in water for the handover, too convenient.

The scenes with hiro and takei were good, but we never found out what his dads power was. The Angela interrigation was a nice scene as well.

also, this bringing people back to life with claire/kensei's blood means anyone who has died so far can come back! Interesting!! Since they had Kensei for such like 30 years ? They must have a lot, hello Mr. Linderman, DL etc!

i forgot about the Matt segments. But yeah it looks like he has gained himself the power of persuasion, just like that girl Syler killed. Except this time he can do it a little more discreetly than Syler.

I reckon at some point Matt is going to turn evil, corrupt with power. But what will this woman he is searching for have in store for him?

In regards to Claire/Kensai's blood... What if the virus mutates even more [The one which is "a year from now" so that the regeneration is ineffective? There hasnt been any word on Nikki, who apparebtly was the first to get this mutated form of the virus.

But thinking about that, im not liking how many of the characters are being shunned just so a handful of characters can play their part. I havent seen Syler/Mexicans for a few episodes, and the same goes from Micah/St Joan [Whatever her name is!], still i guess the reason is they want to try and get this to fill the 20-24 episode season. Hohum

I miss Sylar.... he was a great central villain, but the actor playing him is going to busy being the new Spock in the Star Trek film booo, Not sure about the blood thing, wonder if there will be some side effect from it. But now doesn't Sylar have two people that he can get the regen power from? and does that mean the Peter is also going to live forever??!?!

Mohinder's actions just left me baffled, he is still the most guillable idiot in the show.

I think the more appropriate word needed is Naïve. Mohinder is always looking for the right way to do things, he does have a strong sense of justice but seems to get caught up in situations simply down to his naïvity.

His emotions cloud his judgement sometimes.

The reason why I think he shot bennet was heat of the moment sort of thing, the feeling that if Bob was killed, his being able to use what they took of Claire's blood would become a lot more of a difficult task, Bob can change things into gold remember? (Money makes things that much easier!)

Mohinder always does his actions with the best possible outcome in mind, however the company, as Bennett said, is indoctrinating him and he doesn't know it, they're playing around with his intentions and convincing him.

The last thing I think he is, is gullible.

As someone pointed out earlier, they are doing a few short volumes across this season, so not building to just the one disaster. So we have seeing the first volume reach it's conclusion. Can only assume the other characters are more involved in the next story line.

There is no mutated virus, the lethal virus is the one Peter and Adam have gone to collect - and the one Hiro is there to stop them getting.

Adam blatantly wants to release it - after he kills the Company lady that worked on the virus he tells her "When its over, I'll tell them I couldn't have done it without you". Its obvious he has evil intent.

Suresh has two vials, probably as its nice to have a spare. One for Nikki, and one in case anything bad happens.. It'll probably end up being the cure for the lethal strain when that inevitably gets released - i.e. infects someone, but they are quickly cured to prevent spread.

Maybe Adam will inject himself with the lethal virus? *shrug* Would that kill him, or just everyone else? :x

Good episode, frustrating end

Tbh, why could Peter and Hiro just not talk it out for a little bit longer?!? Baffling when they do things like this, but I guess they must force the storyline down a particular route.. just wish they could make it a bit more real.

Hiro didn't seem to be so happy after getting revenge Niki/Nathan dead?!?!?!?!?!??!!?!?!?!?!?!?!? Glad to see Peter came to his senses, now Sylar's back and the title Villains sounds good!

It was a weak way of getting Adam off the screens, i was hoping for bit more of a battle - But of course, doing that he'll probably be locked away for a good few hundred years or so.

Sad to see Nathan die, he never quite catches that lucky break in terms of living or dying! How many times is this now that Nathan has been "killed" in one way or another??

Not fussed about Nikki, but i can see her probably surviving this by taking on another personality? Wonder what will be happening with Noah now, turning his back on his family? For some reason i dont think that will be the case...

Since this is the so called ending of this volume... When is the third part showing? Is there any ETA? -Hope its not too long, i cant be doing without Heroes *AND* Smallville :'(

I thought they ended that really well, Hiro could not bring himself to kill Adam, but the fate he has given him is worse.

No one said said Nathan is actually dead, the news report Angela was listening to said "an assasin fired two shots at him".

Noah as the assassin would fit, he wants a normal life for claire after all, he would see it as protecting her.
