Aye, I'll need the same for the cupboards as one will house a stereo amp, the other a sky box.

I said 66! But doubted myself.

I've been strangely enjoying this thread :)

Not nearly enough threads about furniture, woodworking, measurements, men with beards who put pencils behind their ears, tins that still have the tobacco smell years after, sheds, boxes in the loft, paper airplanes, conkers, and marbles.

I played at making paper planes yesterday....with a girl even! the goal was to make one that we could let go the slowest and have it float off. any kind of effort put in to the throwing was grounds for disqualification. ofc she was stoned and I was full of beer so I guess you had to be there to understand :)

My fat fingers mean i keep rating things as informative when I want to rate it as funny

On the woodworking front I got to chop wood out in the forests of finland this summer, as a city dweller this was quite novel experience as was pooping in a hole in the dark

Sad eh.

I was just discussing the other day that I miss being young and stupid. This grown up nonsense where you're excited about taps, wallpaper and furniture is no fun :(.

Nah fuck it mate, when you're in your 30s you get to have both (if you really really want it) and feel good about it. I'm grown up during the week but I still don't take my life too seriously.

I can enjoy a good solid oak media unit during the day and go out and act stupid at night :)... problem is, half the time I can't be fucking arsed :). Luckily, the woman I'm dating acts young enough for the both of us and drags me out dancing now and then.

Moral of the story - never be ashamed to stroke your oak now and then. You can still be young at the weekend :)

Standing joke between me and my lady is that I consider a Lakeland catalogue to be porn these days :)

I can just see you trying to do their cakes and things yourself :)

So here it is, all moved in and set up with the TV / home cinema. All the kit is hidden in the two cupboards (stereo power amp, DAC, Sonos, Sky and PS4) with the BT router just tucked behind. The master BT socket is conveniently behind the right speaker with a Devolo Triple+ 650 connecting the rest of the house to the router.
