Can someone help answer/comment on the following (for my revision notes):

- Describe how the transfer of a required gene from a donor to a recipent, including the use of restriction enzymes and ligase, can produce genertically modified organisms.

- Evaluate the ethical implications of genetic modification

- Recall that one pair of chromoes, XX in a female or XY in male, controls the sex of a person, and describe the determination of the sex of offspring at ferilisation, using a genetic diagram. - basically why is it XX in female and XY in male?

Rep on offer etc.

Have you thought of actually gaining an education yourself and doing some reading and comprehending, rather than just relying on others to write for you?

I'd evaluate that the ethics don't implicate in any matter or form as ethics can not be proven by science as they are emotion based.

He's been around these parts far far longer than you, so you hush!

Was more meant in the sense 'who are you to question my work.'

I know who he is.

So I won't hush! :(

Where's the biology boffs? :(

I agree with old.Tohtori that science implicates nothing with regards to ethics, but ethics will imply certain things for scientists. I wouldn't agree that ethics can all be reduced to emotions, but that's a different topic :). You might be able to do something with Weber in the construction of your answer.

If the third question is what I think it is, here's the diagram:
Code:
[font=verdana]M\F   X   Y
X     XX  XY
X     XX  XY[/font]
However, if this is the correct answer I strongly suggest you spend a lot more time reading your biology books, since that's the most basic thing about genetics. It's been two years since I've had this though, so I might've misinterpreted the question :).
