Yes keep a community but it'll be a different community - if you can't live with that and can only snipe from the sidelines then quite frankly sod off.

Back on topic (anyone.....)

We have a firew alarm in one (well, all of) the buildings at work. When I was in the emegency team we got a call to the "Old Lab" where a fire alarm had gone off.

We turned up and all the occupants had mustered outside, except the cleaner, Rose. So we started a room by room search, in full fire kit. This took approx 10mins (big building), when we eventually found Rose, she was sat in her cleaning cupboard, eating toast and reading the paper. In the bin was a blackened slice of bread. Outside her cupboard was a broken alarm ringer, which it turns out, Rose smashed to bits with a mop handle when it started disturbing her break.

Once upon a time, back when BW was a little group of people who wrote news, adminned servers, and spewed out drivel for "columns", there was one such 'helper' who frequently got into trouble for speaking his mind, refusing to tow the company line when it was unreasonable, or just generally being a stubborn git. Half the people who knew him hated him, but the other half liked him, which was a lot better than total apathy (ok, maybe not half and half :) ).

Unfortunately I've known Dave for long enough to know that he won't back down, and he'll defend his corner to the end regardless of whether he himself is starting to think it was unreasonable. And you'll never ever get him to admit he was wrong. So the outlook is grim for the ginger one.

It seems after popping into IRC last night that some people think I kicked up a stink at being called a twat and got Dimebag banned.

I did not.

As the previous post in this thread indicates, I was out all evening while this whole thing was going on. If someone was to call me a twat I'd either ignore it or have an arguement with them in the same thread.

When I returned from the pub Dimebag had already been banned, again.

Can't see why everyone's backing Dimebag on this tbh. Repeat offenders punishments have to be increased, because obviously they haven't learned the lesson that the initial punishment was supposed to teach.
T&C does state something about attacking people etc., and calling someone a 'twat' is definitely an attack, even if that person doesn't complain the mods have to dish out a punishment. I imagine if it was a 'first offence' it would've resulted in a slap on the wrist, but it wasn't was it. He was repeatedly warned, banned on more than one occasion and let back with the knowledge that he had to clean his act up.
As for all the borlz about law suits etc. :ROFLMAO: that would be very funny indeed. Anyways, gg etc., I'm only sorry that he didn't learn his lesson and behave appropriately.
