Haven't sojourner rangers gotten enough SoM's?

Well there weren't any frontier bonuses then... Or infact half the frontier mobs there are now. Nor could people solo oranges as a general rule (given it was before epic armour let alone SC so most people were in 89% drops).

and it took far more exp to get there, the pl code meant higher level chars couldnt grp without seriously nerfing the exp. There wasnt even darkness falls!

I soloed the majority of the way to 50, probably wasted a LOT of time, took around 30 days total, and was one of the lucky ones who could solo OJs.

as you rightly mention its a lot about armour and equipment too, cm drops, the odd uber (94 qual) ez drop, old hib quests. I can remember people going nuts for +3 skill rings, and the other realms demanding that our EZ rings got nerfed cause they where so uber (they had 1x10% melee resist!).

To put it in perspective, I can remember with my first 2 chars that once they got their epic armour they shot up massivly in power. Full epic owned, some of my resists even got above 10%!.

Oh yeah forgot they nerfed the XP curve a while back, people these days don't even know the half of it.
I remember seeing DF items and thinking "OMG these are l33t!" and that over the diamond seal items.

In fact I remember before the alb/hib high level dungeions got itemised - unless you were a mid you had to RvR in level 30 gear.

hehe danya, i thought the same when i saw them nice DF stuff, shame i couldn't properly farm dia seals with my ranger...

56days solo to 50on ranger
43days mor eor less solo to 50 on BM

then again, when we dinged 50most of us were already rr3-4 or such, atleast i was with both chars. now u see a char that looks nice, get ina pl grp and a day later u got ur char but no idea how to play it.

btw, how is one supposed to get an ani or any other farmchar plvled if his main is a ranger? requirements for fins grps or what ever is normaly that u bring a fop char and a leech, so u need to lvl a drood or something first, if u havn't already as bot, then u may actualy get into such a grp.

i understand most opinions bout my fellow stealthers here, we get into no arti exp/farm or scroll farm grps with our chars. we gotta do most of our stuff on our own, while the other players get into such grps with their "normal" chars. can get pretty frustrating.
and u gotta love the way everyone trys to pull PM into the mud, as if we were the only guild with rangers in it and as if som would be the only arti that is getting removed in a way that most of the realm don't seem to like.

i camped som for 3days, then got fed up with it and i got it ported away for free and that was even befor i joined PM if i remember correctly.
