Hard Drive failure...

Ok... I've just had a hard drive failure with a Samsung Spinpoint Hard Disk, The manufacture date 10/2004 so its under 12 months old, Bought it from Pc world (i know... but i was impatient) but haven't got the reciept or Old box it came in, I do have a box that is the same, However. Am i going to be able to get it replaced under warranty or will i be having a fight on my hands.

if you go for a manufatures warranty instead of sales you shouldn't need teh recipt, i don't think

No you don't, just the serial number. It helps if you have it though as without a receipt they take the warranty as starting on the date they shipped it to the retailer, whereas with a receipt they take it from the date on that.
