With no permission to do so, police cars and people everywhere, took me 15 minutes to get out of my street.

Unfortunately for you, you live in a country where freedom of expression of one's beliefs is a liberty enjoyed by everyone. I completely appreciate that things like that can be annoying, much the same as roadworks or whatever else being in your way in the morning, but it's a massive event for a huge number of people in this country. Why shouldn't they celebrate? I hope you're as corteous in kind to the way you wish to be treated the next time you're celebrating something, or coming home from the pub on a Friday night or whatever else.

Yeah and if I stood in a public park at 7.30 in the morning with a loudhailer shouting and screaming I'd be carted off pretty briskly.

But because it's this lot the police tip toe round them and let them get on with it, and suddenly there's hundreds of people in your street. Again, if it was me I'd have to apply for permission from the council I expect, and no doubt I'd get permision declined as it's a residential area. But this lot dont have to worry about council permission, because they dont ask in the first place.

So next time I'm celebrating something I doubt if I'll take over a public place to do it, I doubt if I'll disturb an entire neighbourhood either.

For your information, I live in an area with a large immigrant population, Indians Pakistanis Portugeuse Poles Lithuanians etc. I've worked with most of these races too, and get on with them pretty well. Sorry, I know this doesnt fit in with your stereotype of me does it?
