you need to refine ore first. when you enter a station with your ore, click the button to the mid right of the screen that says 'reprocess', then, put the ore you have on your ship into the 'items' thing in the stations. then when thats done your ore should appear in the reprocessing screen. then just click refine, and it'll refine the ore into minerals. then when u have the minerals, sell them... thats how you sell ore :D

Yeye, done that but it doesn't actually seem to sell? :E
Hell, it might have been a bug in that particular patch. I do seem to remember experienced players complaining it was impossible to make money atm...
Oh well, I'll try anyway :fluffle:

eve is more than just mining :). You can for one off course pirate the miners and steal their ore :D or you can protect the miners from pirates :). Besides there are ship productions/research and prolly some way off earning money by scouting :). Besides you can always trade :). You can also make money by being part off an army, where you just destroy stuff part off a corporation yours doesnt like :). So you can make money lots off different ways :)

yea its not just about mining. i mean, i know some corps in beta that GIVE they're members 5 million quid ships just to kill stuff with. of course some people in they're corp have to mine to get the money, but thats they're job, your job could be to kill things.

is there a trade system where you can buy x amount of grain and sell it on another station for profit to npcs? And yes this game is sort off like a real economy so in the end the money has to get into the players hands one way.
However as soon as the player base got enough money ppl dont have to mine anymore, because player x gives money to y for protecting him, y gives it z for some product and z gives it x for some other reason again.

so to earn money from npc's you dont have to mine :p. allthough mining is probably the fastest way to earn your startup money :).but i think we have proven if garnet will read this that Eve is not just mining all the way ;)
