strafing is fine to get positionals off, i use it on my NS as much as i can. using run through on anyone of the random lolzor caster community is law, love watching them blow moc and not landing one spell.

Yea mates its much more skillful to press a style and then press a backup style while standing still facing the enemy instead of having to adjust to the movement of others! People who dont like strafe are the people who think that if I'm a certain class then I should always beat some other class because its a mmorpg.

not one fight i have got into u with u have not strafed in 1v1 duels u strafe ... i have always stood by and watched your fights and u strafe but still i dont intercept ... but now recently ur running around with no care F8 + stick and strafeing like fuck nd destealthing me in front of hibs ... just yesterday i hit a hib and BANG u was on me side stun..

yes i got owned but not fairly so u can all call this flame bait and whine ... but i was owned unfairly .... i did try and walk backwards but still he strafed it still .. i miss like 80 % of my styles or they turned out unstyled because of this.
i understand that rangers love gettin side style stun off so they use strafe to get that but even wen u get that off suprise suprise u still strafe

Just IMO...

If you can strafe and your opponent fails to counter it, meaning that you will save some of your 15 minutes long timers then way to go... No it's not "skilless" he obviously did something more than just whacking 1 - 2 on his keyboard and obviosuly it gave him an advantage, and it's completely within the legal rules to beat you´.

Whenever it's morally correct can be discussed, imo strafing is not bad, it can be countered and there's countless of worse things eg. swimming on water surface on 1% at full speed, surface / diving, walk forward-backwars to land annihilation / levi ect.

Learn to counter it, it's not that hard /stick is not gods allpowerfull alltimeinview button.

and how do you counter it when you play with yellow loss half the time? By the time you react to one run through the person is somewhere else entirely. As you say, someone can run through to land a rear style, now someone like habe does that every style, regardless of what hes spamming. He just wants to be oov.

Possible counters?

Walk backwards ... ok well u can do that sometimes, other times he runs through faster than ur walking back. Depends on your lag at the time.

Spam garotte? yeah, so 5 styles later you're ooe, cos you're using the highest end drain lowest dmg style in the cs spec ...

Backup against something, then at least he just runs side to side -> not always feasible.

as we all know stuff like /stick, /face don't work. If you play with any type of lag -> incidentally my bar may be all green but i'll still have a longer delay to the server than many non UK players because of distance and crappy lines in the UK, then what are you supposed to do?

Someone chain running through to get oov is abusing the fact that the person on the other end may not update fast enough, and as Cylian said, walking backwards when playing like that can lead to someone being "infront" of you the entire fight, yet oov as far as the game is concerned.

Strafe is the only way u can win when u face an opponent with evade7/malice deb00f on u/poisonspike/ws deb00f etc etc etc ... ur ws is like 1000 and u get the message "evade/evade/evade/evade "
Its part of the game get used to it or simply play wow.... as i said its part of the game like when u purge the ws/con deb00f u dont get back ur 400hp but insteed the assasin re-aplys poisons and voila ( ty Ons:worthy: ) u lose an other 400hp....or like u get hitted by a truck with chain armors ( merc) and simply for 20secs u cant touch him ( and ofc in those 20sec u r rb-ing) or hit a heretic for 160dmg with 2h etc etc etc i can mention a zilion situations that
things r OP but the point is that strafe is common and accessable by all....

Don't think you can compare anthing to when you kill something with a merc.

Mercs are just amazingly op in 1v1 fights.

i got killed for first time by a merc at rr 2 or so outside of beno....never had that much of a problem with them before. But i used almost all on him...and he got me in end. I was like wtf!! So yeh...they are quite powerfull
