Guild emblem on Cloak

ok guys i have been told by many different people different things.
people say:
1) You can be seen in BG as a floating cloak when stealthed
2) you cannot be seen

Which one is true please?

If people can see you whilst stealthed (Truesight, See hidden, or they are just close enough to you) They'll see your cloak as that big black thing that it shows up on your screen as.

If you are out of range etc you'll be invisible like normal

If wearing a guild cloak it will be this huge black when stealthed and very easy to see for stealthers.

Now in BG though the distance you see eachother is most often in the range of showing your name also.
Not many people misses the big floating name so if you want to use guild cloak do so, it don't really put you in a disadvantage.

Don't recommend archer with emblemed cloak without camo in emain though.

If your cloak is white it turns black when stealthed. Its all down to what colors you are using.

A guild emblemed cloak will make you easier to see in RvR only in the respect that you'll stand out a lot more when detect hidden finds you.
If you have a low stealth then you may get away with being detected as you can be much further away when the detect hidden finds you, a black (guild) cloak may make you stand out that much more than an un-emblemed one.
With a high stealth chances are you'll be stood next to them anyway when you're found so cloak or not won't make much difference...

if youre not sure on how it looks.. do this.. get a cloak, emblem it, put it on .. and stealth.. thats how you will look when they finally see you .. ie TS, SH etc etc ..

when you stealth your colours are inverted, green turns red, yellow turns purple, black turn white and so on

when stealthed, black will turn white and white will turn completely see through (white = no colors), a charcoal cloak will be slightly grey compared to a black dyed cloak.
This is why it might be wise to dye all armour completely black as a stealther, you will be less visible at long distances to people using see hidden and true sight, although they usually see you anyway, so don't let this reason stop you from going wild at the dye merchant

in thidranki people don't have enough rp's for either of those abilities, and will only see you if they are close enough to see you nametag anyway, so here it doesn't matter

I'm not sure about emblems, both the grey and white part of our emblem turn completely black when stealthed while the decal turn completely see-thru

The bug is stil there in SI btw And its not to do with the colours when it comes to emblems .Something to do with how they are drawn , where as dyes are diffrent.

And dont forget its not just people with ts etc that see you sometimes. All classes have a chance no matter how small to see you,so most of the time non assy guys dont see you, but if an enemy sees you even just fleetingly you wil stand out a mile with an emblem on cloak as a big black blob.

99% of assasins in the US game dont wear emblems and openly berate those that do.


Besides what assisin in his right mind would have bright colours on , even if unstealthed ya wanna keep in the *shadows* .

it's cuz there is 2 layers ( atleast thats hat Mythic says ).
Emblem on the cloak can get you killed if you meet an True sighting archer, otherwise they will see your name anyway.

guild emblems go fully black irrespective of their colour. Archers/minstrels would not be recommended to wear them as the black cloak is very easy to see at range with see hidden. Often people with guild cloaks are so easy to see that it isnt until you get closer that you realise that they are actually stealthed .
