Cheaters .... using daox or daocwin is cheating....but i don't remember anyone being banned from daoc.prydwen before SI was introduced when they were talking about the frontier in general. Even now !url gives you a link to daocwin....so daoc.prydwen even supports this kind of cheating

you can play in windowed mode with si client without any problem so no real cheating there

Albion took the STR relics in a morning raid, and now Midgard takes them back the same way. No reason for either realm to complain. Now Mids will have to wake up at 7am every Sunday for the next two months

ppl used daox ... which allowed them to alt tab and blab about RR


nowadays its different with SI

its too late now, i know, but its my opinion that if daox/daocwin was never supported by #daoc.prydwen in the first place, less ppl would spoil a RR

In the nutshell, gratz to the mids, for taking advantage of a time when not many defenders would be on (68 level 50`s), just after I read the 1st beno guard had been killed spam (176 mids), all I can say really is that we must be a feared enemy for such a raid to have taken place, enjoy the relics knowing that the same options are, and always will be, open to us to.

Well i had a look and we still have 'Masters of the Runes', all those Keep named guards like 'Hlidskialf Jarl' and a load of those usual blue con guards. Isnt that how it was before the STR relics? Or was there more blue con guards before?

Can't remember which patch note it was in but a realm with all 6 relics is supposed to have none of those purple con guards named after keeps.

EXPLANATION OF FRONTIER GUARD CHANGES

To alleviate some of the confusion brought on by the guard changes in 1.49, here's an explanation of how the system works.

Each home Outpost (frontier keep), when "owned" by the home realm, controls a contingent of guards at each Relic Keep. For example, if the forces of Albion control the Albion Outpost Caer Benowyc, a number of guards representing Caer Benowyc will appear at the Relic Keeps in the Albion frontier. The number of "Relic Guards" these outposts spawns depends on the location of the outpost - the number is either 2,3, or 4 guards. These are referred to as "Outpost relic guards", and are distinguished from normal guards at the relics by being higher level and having the name of the "controlling" Outpost keep over their heads.

However, the actual number of "Outpost Relic Guards" at the relic keep is modified by two factors: Outposts owned and Relics owned.

Relics owned:

Outpost Relic Guards are reduced by 25% for every relic over 2 owned by a Realm.

3 relics owned = 75% frontier keep relic guards
4 relics owned = 50% frontier keep relic guards
5 relics owned = 25% frontier keep relic guards
6 relics owned = 0% frontier keep relic guards

Outposts Owned

When an Outpost is captured by the enemy, the guards it controls are not spawned at the relic keeps.
