Actually during planning a lot of people wanted the raid to be earlier. We just told them to get stuffed, some of us need sleep, can only buy so much caffeine on the remnants of our cash.

To be fair, I'm normally one of the first to complain about relic raid blabbers.

However, at the time I commented on the numbers at Excal:

A) The cat was already out of the bag.

B) The Midgard strength relic was already returned to Mjolnir Faste.

C) The few Albs awake were already fully aware of the numbers of Mids (Coincidentally, more Mids relic raiding than we actually had people online... at peak during the RR we had 90 level 50s awake, go figure).

D) Sod all we could do about recapturing/defending the remaining two relics at that point, no matter how anyone screamed and shouted on IRC.

And anyway, isn't blabbing usually done before the raid? Not, like, after the raid objectives have been completely accomplished?

Roalith, u was still wrong imo, hibs might not have known it just as some mids didnt at that point (Max etc). You told people who didnt know . Thats the point. If they was all turned into their current state (Mid), it would be ok, but now it only lured hibs to guard mmgH. Just my 2 €cents

it wasn't a prime time RR, but it was still organised on a decent hour

there were actually 200+ mids
when i logged in this morning (and the midgard strenght relic was neutral) there were 189 mids killing excal guards, and i guess some middies were already on the way back with the first relic, so 200+ is correct number

but does it really matter how many mids there were?
it matters how many albs there were. /who revealed 250 albs online in the whole realm... (and lets take about 50 albs anon)...300 albs. How many were in sauvage.... 60ish

Roalith you've seen it before and if you were to think for 2seconds you'd realise that announcing an RR in irc or even talk about RR = ban. So basically on that front you got what you deserved, ditto Lucias. The reason you did it is basically a last struggle to try and gather albs, again this is against the rules and against the ettiquette of the game imo. Of course if you know something, or have a hunch somebody is attacking your relics announce so in game.

DON'T USE ANYTHING OUTSIDE DAOC TO DIVULGE INFORMATION ABOUT INGAME DAOC.

^ Read the above, understand... and DAOC at Prydwen will be a much better place.

About the natter concerning the times of the RR:

1) We've tried primetime raids in the past (a no go due to blabbers in irc(curse of the devil for such games imo))
2) We do what we can to win... if a 10am raid does this then so be it.

Cheaters .... using daox or daocwin is cheating....but i don't remember anyone being banned from daoc.prydwen before SI was introduced when they were talking about the frontier in general. Even now !url gives you a link to daocwin....so daoc.prydwen even supports this kind of cheating

so look at yourself first before you acuse someone else of being a Ads/Spammers/Bugabusers/Cheaters/Relicraidblabbers

daoc.prydwen is just a hypocrisy, they tolerate one kind of cheating, but don't allow another one

Now, let's just try to get something straight: I did not announce it. Lucias announced it.

All I did was mention the sheer number of Mids in the vain hope of starting a lighthearted conversation about the sheer volume of Midgardian players awake at 9:30 AM on a Sunday.

Utter bullshit, quite frankly. I knew perfectly well by that point that the relics were lost, likewise it was pretty fucking obvious to any Mid players that the relics were safe - you had the numbers, and I seriously doubt even the few Albs and Hibs online fully co-oping could have stopped that zerg. Like it'd happen.

Of course if you know something, or have a hunch somebody is attacking your relics announce so in game.

Please learn to read. As I seem to have to keep repeating: The mid relic was already returned, or nearly so. The Albion frontier had around 50-60 defenders (for what little good it did). Lucias had already opened up the conversation.
