Grappling as any char that can cast offensive spells is just bullshit, grapple is bullshit, it works in great favour for those who have numbers. In fg vs fg, tankgrp vs tankgrp. u cant really afford to chaingrapple anyone, because you then loose utility (except wardens who can chaingrapple for all they care). But 2fg vs 1fg. the ones with more numbers can just grapple enemy tanks, and make them obsolete, while their other brave paladins of arthur kill the support. (ofc this requires more skill then the average albgrps and u better bring 3-4fg just to be sure the healers dont INSTAWTFPWN u with their overpowered heals/mezz/amnesia/root/etc)

So, what im most angry about is that mythic has implied a skill that can be used by zerg to win with no effort against skilled grps, requires no skills at all, just go there. Press grapple, wait 12 sec, press grapple. Rince and repeat until you die the death of martyr grappling for god and for arthur or your brave merry mens have killed the enemy.

BUT

You stated in this thread that grapple is overpowered on a valewalker because he can do something else whilst grappling/grappled. That is wrong, since (1) Its a low delve dmg baseline nuke (2) Like any other spellcaster its so very very easy to counter, especially for mid support who are gifted with more (insta) interrupts/ccs than alb and hib. Even the 31 s insta mezz lasts a good 20 secs on an undetermined target

Edit: Remember, grapple is only a tank counter. In most cases its totally pointless to grapple support/casters, except if they're running around. I think grapple, along with bodyguard, is one of the features mythic made to discourage the use of pure tank groups and encourage mixed groups, which is good imho
