Just out of curiosity, where did you get these specs from?
1) 1280x resolution
2) 32-bit colour
3) masive detailed textures
4) lots and lots of tiny polygons
4) a constant frame rate of 85 fps
Last year, you probably would have said something like:

Every year, someone like you says that the current cards are not adequate for games that are out at that time. Every year, graphic chip manufacturers give you exactly what you ask for but as soon as you get it, you start bitching about something else.
when will it end?

- 1024x768 resolution
- 32-bit color
- large textures (not massive ones)
- a constant frame rate of 60fps
The year or two before it would have been:
- 640x480 or maybe 800x600 resolution
- 24-bit color
- bilinear filtering for textures
- at least 30 or 40 fps in Quake BigAss demo.
