liloe said:Yes they are vandals because they destroy public belongings and thus are criminals. Each year our state pays millions of euros to repair the damage they deal.
BUT!
That does not mean I dislike some of it. Graffiti is an art and not just some rubbish on walls. It takes a lot of practice to do these, so I think some really grey areas should be enlightened by these people in a nice way. There are awesome graffitis and they really fit well on some places. Just look at subway tunnels, they would look so much brighter with paintings on them. Or some grey old trains really would like it.
I'm pro graffiti, but please controlled and not uncontrolled spraypainting.
my opinion tooMorchaoron said:real graffiti can be nice, tagging is just for kids...

I've had my property scribbled on 8 times in the last 4 months, anyone who draws on public or private property without permission should have the book thrown at them imo, Vandals doesnt even come close.

I'm sorry to here that your property got "tag'd" but someone forgot to mention the difference, BIG difference between "tagging" and graffiti.
Give these people somewere to do it and it wont happen on public places anymore.
Fight fire with fire ? lol ok mate you try that and watch what happends. They wont sit back and think oh fuck were in for it.
/grfeeti/
• plural noun (sing. graffito /grfeeto/) treated as sing. or pl. unauthorized writing or drawings on a surface in a public place.

I am sure, everyone of those who are doing nice graffitis now, have sprayed shit & tagged a lot before. It's unrealistic to think they would have practised at home and went to the streets when they had become good as they are now. So you kind of can't allow good graffitti on public places and disallow bad graffiti & tags.Haggus said:I'm sorry to here that your property got "tag'd" but someone forgot to mention the difference, BIG difference between "tagging" and graffiti.
Well we all know that's not trueHaggus said:Give these people somewere to do it and it wont happen on public places anymore.
