Bodhi, to be honest I couldn't give a fuck where you are from as long as it isn't my neighbourhood. I'd hate to think that someone of your calibre would be walking the streets where I live. The police would have to know for sure, and the News Of The World would probably want to print your name and photo. You are the one who started the attack, I was stupid enough to reply. u all know gpl is better
and you can get the car upsidedown
the sparks of the roll bar are good,
online racing must be gpl.
i did play gp3 for about 20 mins or so
but it is gp2, been there seen it,
even taped up my joystick with bandages when i played gp2 big time, got the t shirt,
gpl is the way. in fact gp3 is just another racing game for u sad fucks to play at home against bots.

Ok, I'm going to say this for the last time.
Will you STOP comparing GPL to GP3 - It's like comparing Toca 2 to Wipeout - They are completely unrelated and different games : The only similarity being, they both derive of cars with 4 wheels. Grand prix 3 is the best F1 racing sim available. Until GP3, Gp2 carried the same accolade. GPL is/was in a class of it's own. It's not to be compared with GP3 because it's depicted in the 60's (correct me if im wrong) - with cars made out of upturned rowboats, physics and completely different track styles. Gp3 is an up to date (with the 2000 car pack and new tracks, yes they are available), looks better then GPL does, I can't say it plays better, because you cant compare them. GPL's physics work and AI had to be estimated, educated guesses at what the cars used to be like. GP3 was designed from the ground up, in conjunction with the Orange Arrows team, it looks like Gp2 - so ? Gp2 doesnt look to shabby in SVGA in software. It sounds IDENTICAL : The sound has been COMPLETELY remastered from scratch : the similarities are because Gp2 got it right : to make it sound better, would be to make the sound wrong. Why make a tits up of the graphics like in F1 2000 - which is unplayable on anything less then a p3 600. Gp3 plays great max detail in 1280x1024 on my dinky celeron 366. It handles like it should handle, I can't vouch for that, because i've never driven an F1 car. But Geoff Crammonds team were in constant contact with people who do that for a living (unlike GPL unless a time machine was available then).

So just PLEASE don't make a complete twat of yourself by comparing GPL and GP3 side to side. GPL is one of a very few numbers of classic racing games, and is by far the best of those. Geoff Crammond's series of games, GP1, GP2, GP3, where all the best of the era, nothing comparable could touch it (attempts from Eidos, EA, MS, all shite, and proven). Gameplay (sorry BW) awarded Gp3 98%. PC Gamer 95%. Gamespot 9.7/10. They are the only awards I know off heart, ive seen others. But NO games reviewer (Sane) online or on paperback has marked it below 90%, showing that the community believes the game is truly as awesome as the hype meant it to be. I for one am glad of this game, It has made the 160 pounds that I paid for my steering wheel worth while, the 30 pounds I paid for Gp3 was certainly a worthwile investment. And because, unlike GPL, GP3 is completely customizable, as with Gp2, Gp3 shall go on for years to come as the best FIA Formula One Racing Simulation.

I think thats all that needs to be said really :)

Having played them both (GP3 and GPL) I have to agree with Kryten here. It isn't right to compare them. Mainly because GPL is a load of old shite and GP3 isnt. Trying to keep a 1960's GP car pointing in the right direction at 50mph is not half as much fun as trying to keep your foot to the floor at 190 mph thru Eau Rouge, correcting every little slide to avoid ending up in the wall.

errrr venturer, from what I understood from your post, were you insinuating that the GP3 team paid off journalists to give GP3 good reviews? errrr LOL.

I got GP3 now... quite smart game, but I still like the thrill of pulling off powerslides on those 1960's GP cars in GPL... mucho fun :) I like the balls out feel of speed and swooping cornering ability of the cars in GP3 though too.

Both top games, both totally different.

Its the realisim in F1 as its not an arcade version just a pure simulation and what a simulation @ that.

If that was totally true I'd be able to pull powerslides off in GP3 but it just spins :(

No driving aids used, as they are just gay and it means u r shit if u need 'em :D

Yah :D I basically aint got much of a clue baat half the trax but I know when to break (just after every 100m sign! :D) and can keep up wid the best and beat 'em ;)

I sometimes spin @ corners in 1st/2nd gear tho... too much welleh inneeet :D
