think about that servers have been up for 3 years, think of the combine golds that have dropped, trinketed etc over the years. Its an enourmos number and the only really thing that lowered this number was housing.

Trust me, theres enough money in the game already, only things that happens is that the plats change owners. Farm scrolls, arties, sell them, the person who baught it use both the scroll and artie. What do we end up with? X plat that just changed owner. Theres no need for more money farming just farm scrolls and arties and the economy will be fine.

Old fashion way of farming is just a slow way of making money, except dragon raiding and advanced killing in df (animist).

Why is that? Just because you have no friends who wants to farm with you does not mean that others do not.

Ok simply put making plats in DAOC is easier now than it has ever been. When my scout was 50 and he was my only way of making cash i realised that if i wanted the best items i had to do something about it. I decided that id make a necro on the same account as my scout and farm with it using my buffbot. I casually xp'd my necro to 50, no 10 hour days, just a few hours here and there.

Once my necro was 50 i equipped him in quest/crafted armor and was good to go, now a necro+bb can pretty much farm anything, i was lucky enough to farm chimera/braggarts long before the necro DS was fixed so i could sell the chimera vests and bows for decent plats, i would get up an hour early some days and do an arti run, first volc for tarts/SoM/Scalars then stygia for HE/Nailahs/Scorp ring/BoS/DS then onto Aerus where i would farm CS/GoV/Cyclops/Enyalios if they were up.

Doing all these i filled all 3 of my house vaults with salvage loot and scrolls which salvaged for several plats themselves while making hundreds of plats from selling the artifacts, and i always made sure my arti's were the cheapest on the CM's (and none of my govs have ever gone over 35p)

If you have a mincer farming scrolls is by far the best method with a sally+bb, in the period of about 4-5 hours i got MT 3o3 and 2xMT 2o3, 35p of scrolls in 4-5 hours fro volc.

If you make the effort and have a buffbot which most people do there is no reason you cannot make huge quantities of plats and buy any items you need and you dont need to play 24/7 to do it.

what oboy said, theres enough money flowing around already. infact the only real problem in the current economy is the change of the way you exp artis, because now a lot of mobtypes will be unfarmed and scroll prices will get sky high
