Nr1, He is heavily addicted because he wanna play as much as possible so he doesnt loose to many levels

Nr2, He has no friends (maybe because the only friend he had is his computer) so he have nowhere to celebrate christmas.

or, he's just a sad fuck with no life considering a game more important than spending time with the only stuff that matters in life, your family,

Noone really said anything about actually playing on Christmas day, he just said Christmas time which pretty much includes the whole of December.
