trust me, port vale away in the middle of november was colder than chesterfield on the wednesday night after christmas, when it was snowing.

it wasn't even a particularly cold day, burslem has it's own climate i think.

sarfend on a friday night in the snow was also particularly chilly.

the highlight of that day was driving into stoke, past the britannia ground, and turning to our left and seeing an absolutely knackered and clapped out cavalier next to us. inside this car was two blokes absolutely covered in burberry, one hand on the steering wheel covered with sovereign rings. however, the greatest thing ever was the can of white lightning carefully stowed in the drinks holder attached to the dashboard. legendary.

then we got lost trying to find the ground and found one of the worst pub's ever.

You must be joking. You can see Blackpool tower from the corner of Stoke's ground! Why didn't the cheap gits build an all-round stadium, I've nearly been blinded by flying crisp packets in that bastard stadium.

fully enclosed stadium's are poor for the pitch, more air gets to it or something. not 100% sure of the reasons but the fact stamford bridge is entirely enclosed was one reason their pitch was so piss poor a few years back
