I've been using Google desktop for a bit for replacing the windows find file function - tbh, its fantastic - it will return searches of file contents from the whole hard drive (including pdfs, word etc) in just seconds - the problem is, I tend to work from a 40 gb removable usb2 drive (not a pen drive) and it doesn't index the extrernal drive's content.
Now I've read that usb drives can be indexed with Google desktop. Is there a system/drive setting to legitimise my external drive for this sort of recognition ? Thanks.
