just saw on the news about george bush visiting troops out in baghdad. apparently he landed at an airport where only 5 days before a civilian airliner had been shot down. tbh i reckon thats pretty cool and pretty brave all round. imagine the kind of risk he's taking just to boost the moral of his troops. and on thanks giving! what a guy..

:D

If he brings thousands of people to just visit London think how many human shields there are around him in Iraq.

probably less tbh, infact probably hardly any. it was all VERY hush hush, they wanted to keep it as low key as possible. infact they said, if there was so much as a single leak of information they'd call it off.

Nope, I was talking about the fact that he is sending his own troops out there to risk their lives over some oil.

I don't willingly subject myself to brainwashing (aka media). Hey, u go right ahead hun... your not hurting me by believing. I was only sharing with you my opinion and pov on your post.... that's why you post isn't it? Otherwise you might just post once and close the thread? 'Cos you know peeps are just gonna flame the 'president' you've been on those other forums...you just want to get a rise in peeps again I am guessing ....

lol, but you were questioning weather it was actually a low key affair. and i was simply pointing out the fact that no one had heard about it until a few minutes ago, therefore proving it must have been low key enough to keep all the media on the planet in the dark.

aka, pretty dam low key :)

also, on a side note.. kinda worrying, i didnt realise britain has been on a high state of alert about possible suicide bombings. apparently they're warning attacks are imminent but they dont know when, where or how they will occur. they must have been tipped off about something as they've just captured an al-qaeda member with a load of explosives at his home.

see how much sympathy you guys have when the wankers blow up a school or something.

Who, exactly, would we retaliate against? He has so many enemies we wouldn't know who to shoot first.

I have no sympathy for terrorists and suicide bombers at all, in fact I think that they are the scum of the Earth. I do, however, have sympathy for the Iraqi people who have had their country occupied by a bunch of Americans. They don't even want them there ffs.

well.. what possible harm would it do to broadcast the fact that he was there well after he left? infact it'd be just downright stupid not to tell people. if he'd kept it totally unknown.... there wouldnt have been any point going atall! he wanted to give his people, and our people the image that he's totally confident in what he's doing, that he's not afraid to march into the center of the country they're currently at war with and see his troops.

they'd have just been stupid not to broadcast it lol.

The President of the United States of America is not going to go to fucking Iraq without litrally thousands of people standing inbetween him and possible guns. Do you know that American agents follow Presidents around at precise angles so that bullets hit them rather than the President?

Not that i think its a very good war or anything but a fair number or Iraqi people seemed fairly happy to see the yanks/brits in certain citys and had great fun pulling statues of there dictator down. And the Kurds are prolly happy that they wont get mass slaughtered anymore.

Random, what will you do once you realise that the people who disagree with you are a) in the majority and b) too young to be MPs... thus the politics of now is not the politics of tomorrow, and that we will seize the yoke and end this madness... the longer and the further current political thinking goes the harder we will fight to return it to a 'status quo' that doesnt represent the views and beliefs of Eisenhower's 'beast'?
