Just converted to these guys and it was very painless. SIM arrived next day and they took my number on from T-Mobile no problem (after I put in my PAC code).

Thumbs up so far.

They are now doing £20 goodybags which give you 600 minutes, unlimited texts and unlimited net. A lot of you guys on sim only deals would do well to switch.

Very nice indeed, but pretty much what I'm on with O2 currently (I get 700 minutes and 1200 texts instead of unlimited, and "unlimited" net).

Remember giffgaff has no rules against streaming like o2 do, so it works out much better.

You and chilly let me know if you want a sim, so we can both get the £5 bonus credits :D

They may have rules, but it doesn't stop me from streaming :).

Of course not; but with giffgaff you don't have to worry about it at all, while still on the same physical network.

Yeah but given the way you pay GiffGaff, aren't they able to change pricing structures on you? I've got this nice £20/month simplicity deal and it's unlikely to change unless I leave/come back.

They've not done anything expect improve pricing structures, they've not once taken away a good deal.

It's far more flexible as well, if you are feeling a bit tight one month, you can drop to a lower package and jump back up the next month.

I thought they followed o2 in removing that unlimited interweb access when o2 changed its terms for everyone on new contracts. I know it's back now but didn't it lose it temporarily?

So far they've mostly only improved on the packages they're providing. The £10 goodybag option has more minutes, the others have had their prices tweaked.

They were only supposed to have the free data for up to 6 months after launch, however I guess that it probably takes months for them and O2 to get their data pricing done right. By the time the free data will end (December), it'll be a years worth of free data.

The only thing I've noticed is that they've removed the free data on the £5 goodybag. It used to be listed as 100MB data (fair usage) per day along with the unlimited texts.

If you've got a contract which offers more and you actually use it - great. If you're not after a contract then giffgaff is probably the one of the better PAYG providers. I'm sure either Chetan, Milkshake, or myself can refer anyone interested! :p

The removal of free data is only if you use it as pay as you go, not the goodybags - which is probably why nath is confused.
