I have been thinking about a gaming laptop for a few weeks now. I think I will sell my MacBook and get a gaming laptop instead. I love the Mac it is so smooth and good to do everything but game. I have been getting really pissed off at games that run fine on my old Sony laptop (1st gen i5 and HD4000 gfx) but I have to turn everything off to get them to run on this Mac. It is a shame but I think this was a filed experiment.

I have been looking at a few options and if I want to keep the same form factor as this Mac then this laptop by Razer looks great. http://www.razerzone.com/gaming-systems/razer-blade-2014

Or if I go for a 15.6 then this looks like an Absolute beast. http://www.techradar.com/reviews/pc-mac/laptops-portable-pcs/origin-eon15-x-1288075/review

First things first I need to see how much I can get for the Mac to see what I can spend on a Laptop.

Can you actually buy Razer laptops in Europe?

I had 2 ASUS gaming laptops, they never let me down, the last one I had lasted 4 years being used as a desktop, ie it was on 4-15 hours a day. Great value for money.

I have a lenovo y50-70, been great so far!

HOWEVER, I had to return the first because the CPU cooler was not attached correctly and I also had to return the second one because the tab key fell off. The third one is the charm though.
Great when it is working. The keyboard can be a bit awkward if you are used to desktop

If you get a properly assembled you will have a great laptop :)
Otherwise just sent it back until you get one.

The only laptop that meet my criterias and I am very happy with my y50. A good tip is to undervolt the CPU a bit, then the fans wont really speed up at all unless heavy gaming.

Good thread that helps gaming laptops -> http://forum.notebookreview.com/threads/the-throttlestop-guide.531329/page-381 (the most popular undervolting program as it can removes Throttling which gaming laptops often have built in).

I used Intel Extreme Tuning Utility for my undervolting tho.
