"Today is the launch of GAME.NET... Anyone who's ever fancied playing PC games online, or anyone who already does, needs to jump over to http://www.game.net" 14 March 2003 18:53

"full details are available in your local store or at our shiny and sexy site:

http://play.game.net" 21 March 2003 19:33

So what you talkin' about Willis?

If footballs aren't your thing then how about an offering which captures the thrill of volleyball in all its technical glory? Oh, and the people playing it are jolly spiffing on the eye. Yep - Dead or Alive Xtreme Beach Volleyball is also out now:

If that wasn't enough, then the sleek Game Boy Advance SP is out today, as well as the killer stealth action title Splinter Cell on PlayStation 2. There's also Indiana Jones on the Xbox, Metal Gear Solid 2 Substance on PS2, Medal of Honor Underground on GBA and plenty more; so get to GAME immediately - a full list of this week's releases is right here:

We're in the final stages of preparing the new version of the GAME site - hence the short but exciting newsletter this week - so keep your eyes peeled for a great new look with even more damn fine features.

Cheers,

We won't be mentioning GAME.NET every week... I thought you meant we'd referenced it but not linked.

When we move to an optional html / text newsletter it may be easier to squeeze it in. Two weeks in a row is more than most Triple A releases get - but GAME.NEt will be mentioned again.

squeeze it in? One line? This is totally free advertising, even the POS you stick in the stores costs lots, this costs one hundred keystrokes.

Spam it man!, Spam it like you've never spammed it before, we need more players, do everything you can!!!!

our local branch as oodles... it also finally has GeForce FX 5800 Ultras

One thing I did notice is that the way they're shrink-wrapping game.net with certain games is a little confusing, methinks someone needs to rethink the wording on the bundle labelling.

there was no sign whatsoever of the games.net cd in my local store, York, I had to ask for it specially and they had them round the back.
