C&C Remastered is on Steam and it's really good, the same shitty old AI but still a fantastic game. I'm waiting for Homeworld 3 tbh.

Yeh C&C, RA, TA, loved them all, no doubt I have forgotten some.

One of my nephews has relit my retro gaming bug so currently building a couple of retropies whilst being distracted by the TV, a large pack of Shortbread and several other mini pcs. My lounge is currently FH Datacentre 2.

Entire Borderlands collection is on sale for £22.24 (Pandora's Box collection on steam) it ends today at 6pm GMT

normally would cost you £200+ for it all, very worth it and fantastic game series.

The price depends on what you already own and doesn't contain the recent Tiny Tina game, and most of that is DLC that should never have been DLC. But it does contain both Tales of the Borderland games which is one hell of a good bonus and maybe worth the price alone.

Agree for Borderlands 3, the DLC for that was/is meh, still a good game tho gameplay wise, best in the series, the story isn't as good as the second or first game though. Borderlands 1 and 2 on the other hand are defo worth it, Borderlands 2 alone has a metric fuck load of content to play through.

ooh I'm having that
I went to play it today and EA's shitty launcher told me I couldn't because it hasn't been released yet. It's a 20 year old game ffs. There are all sorts of elaborate work arounds with changing system clocks and whatnot but I just can't be bothered. Over and over again, I'm reminded why people turn to piracy.

So I went to fiddle with Window time settings but a time server was already set so I didn't change anything and then I went to fiddle with BIOS time settings but the time was correct so I didn't change anything. Rebooted, tried it again and it worked.

okay so a side effect (hur hur see what I did there?) is that I now have the new EA tracking gaming app which I initially thought had spawned an invisible window on my desktop. Turned out it only loaded in after I clicked on it a couple times. Anyway, it really, really, really wants me to log in to EA.

It's the game launchers that do it for me, why every 1 hit wonder developer wants some sort of landing screen is beyond me. I play a lot of indi/small studio games, often heavily modified, after I have got everything out of the base game.

7 days to die, some pointless launcher that tells you all about nothing.
Cities Skylines, entire launcher, does nothing.
Kirbal, entire launcher for a defunct studio, that does nothing except advertise the abandoned sequel.
X-Com, The only news I need out of them is news of Xcom3
Civ, the same.

...and don't get me started on annoying mod curation nonsense.

If you don't go down the youtube rabbit holes @Overdriven, just perservere. It's amazing what the game is *actually* about and what you discover whilst playing.
