What router have you got? Steam used to have severe issues with certain Thompson and other routers which required the separate downloading of adjusted client files to work around.Considering I only use one password and have just a few variants of it... no, there's no way I was entering the wrong password Steam just does this sometimes. The other reason I hate it is that they simply cannot get it to work with any security software - there's a list of over 50 (and they're all major) bits of security software on their website that are known for stopping Steam working at all. So when you go online with Steam, a lot of users have to disable part/all of their network security. Which... is... really bad.
I'm always having that trouble where my Antivirus software makes me type in the wrong password.
