G-Force & Win ME ??

I have been running Tribes with WIn Me & The Guilimot Pheonix 3D Prophet G-force DDR witn no probs, I was using hercules driver 5.22. I have formated my HD and reinstalled everything and installed the ME Hercules drivers ver 5.32. Although tribes works i can only achieve a refresh rate of 60mhz according to the monitor(Iiyama VM450pro) no matter what screen resolution? I have gone back to the old drivers with no change and also played around (rather blindly) with the opengl setting in the display properties. HELP!!! If anyone comes up with a solution to this problem I will give them a copy of Tribes 2 ............no only joking(honestly i do not have it!!) but please help PS I have played Deus Ex and that worked fine but that woz in D3D??

lo m8 - funny old thing, I've got probs with ME and Tribes as well! I find that the game pauses every 30 secs or so - just for long enough (1 sec) to mess up your skiing or to enable some git to shoot ya!
I've tried all sorts of driver issues with no success - maybe someone else has some ideas - i'm using the Creative TNT2 Ultra and not a GeForce so I suspect that this issue may lie with Windows ME somewhere?

PS - do ya think the big guy upstairs has something against [TMC]??

Fixxed sort of

Well i have sorted out the refresh rate thing out,installed Detanator 3 drivers, but it still frezes every 60-90 secs for a split sec....

Sounds like you are synched with your refresh rate and that's capping it?

Tried the new drivers?

There are new 6.31 (the latest i checked anyway) drivers from nvidia's site which put tribes back at a reasonable speed on my pc.

Problem Solved?

I think I have solved the problems.. I have messed around in various setting and it now seems smooth that is after one night so I will wait and see.......
