I've watched the first 5 eps of series 1 so far. Its pretty good.
John Noble is a joy to watch, at once childlike and creepy, becoming outright menacing when lucid. He seems to have somewhat cornered the market at playing loonies.
You have a short attention span if you think it was getting stale. Probably the best most consistent and well timed build up of plot I've seen in any TV series for a long time.
All i said was that it was -getting- stale, as in "time to move on", it was getting to the point where they solved a thing here and there and if that had kept going on, it would have gotten boring.
5 minutes of major plotline advancement/ episode isn't "best most consistent and well timed build up".
Just as it is getting really good, fox have moved it to their 'friday night death slot'. This is the slot that killed sliders, dark angel, firefly, terminator and dollhouse.
I hope that there is a good conclusion to the season, as it's now probably Fringe's last! A damn shame!
Doll house was dead anyway. What is the reason for the move? I thought fringe had high viewing figures?
edit;// Just read a few blogs and news stories on it. Fox believe that Fringe can survive the slot unlike others before it, because it has a "particularly loyal audience". Let's hope their spin is accurate!
Any movement in timeslot can kill a show, just because they get lower ratings(because people don't know when they're on) and every episode that gets low ratings will be a possible final nail.
Torrents ofcourse don't count for sh*t on popularity
I like the plot twists, characters and narrative and I really appreciate the aesthetics of Joshua Jackson. He could talk bio mechanics to me anyday Fworrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr.
