Depends on how strong your friendship is and if you are only friends to get into her pants. If you have a strong friendship it will get embarrassing for a while, then you can move on and your friendship will mend itself. If she gets all funny then you didn't have a strong friendship to begin with and you can still move on.

I would say bring it up, either that or move on and forget about the whole thing. Failing that you could do what I did once and subtly bring into the conversation a lie on how you used to fancy her and gauge her reaction.

I got turned down, well i say turned down.. it wasnt a no , twice before I bucked up the courage (1-2 weeks if I remember) to step things up a notch.

You'll know if she genuinely likes you or not, just explain that if friends is all that it will be is good enough and you should accept that as well.
