Well answer this; did you honestly explain it so people who are wondering about it know what it is, or did you post it partly because i or ch3tan said it could be done?

If you did out of the pure goodness of your heart to the people around and didn't think we weren't blessed with the knowledge, or that we weren't talking about proper pullups, then apologies for getting personal.

I was talking purely from personal experience and sharing as i'm one of the few people here who have done military training and passed and gone to unit. But you instantly saw some sort of attack in that. Not sure what that says about you tbh

Doesn't really answer the question now does it.

What prompted you to explain a proper pullup when earlier it wasn't a concern to explain?

The cool part is, that you get a fake identity once you enter the FFL. In the old times they didn't even ask for a name when you entered, so basically any escaped prisoner could go there and live in safety … but considering that some jail penalties could be changed to FFL the question stays, what is worse :p

But then again, the training can lead to death, which is the not so funny part of the whole thing. They have a pretty good website, so maybe you could just look there =)

Watched a few documentaries on it.

If you're dangerous (murderer etc) then you're not allowed in.

1 in 10 FFL don't make it past their 5 year contract!!

After 5 years you can become a french citizen with a french passport or go back to your old identity.

You get treat like shit because you're basically a foreigner!

Sounds ideal lol

11? I usually do 3 sets of 10 when I'm doing a back session (although it usually ends up being 25 in total because I'm dead by the last set), of proper wide grip pull ups, and 3 sets of narrow grip chins when doing a bicep session.

Up your game laddey!

You train though. Its going to be easier for you. We are talking about people who dont train, so dont know why you feel the need to brag :s

lol, I'm not bragging, I'm comparing with laddey ;p

And I still struggle to do more than 3 sets, got guys in the gym that do 50 at a time.

I still don't think 4 is too many Marc, I could do 5-6 when I was not training. It's simply down to whether you can lift your own weight or not.

...and probably after 5 years you'd end up becoming fluent in french...IF you were still alive...the FFL is supposed to be uber hard

You'd speak it fluent VERY quickly, or you better pull ya finger out because all the commands are in French, everything is in French. It is one of the first things to be taught!

Shit man, these guys must be harder than Charles Bronson!

Well our earlier event with Sparx aside, i do find it interesting that two "facts" exist;

- French Foreign Legion is überhard! Kickass! Yeah!
- French are white flag waving pansies.

I had a friend who joined up with the French Foreign Legion back in the mid 90's. When he came out 2 years later he was a changed man, and I don't mean in a good way. I think the phrase you might use is "batshit crazy".

The things that he saw and did snapped his mind. He turned to evangelist christianity after this just to find some peace of mind.

I thought the minimum sign up was 5 years. The Documentary on them was great. You get six months to learn French fluently. If not you basically get beat for every wrong answer.

Laddey, if you can learn the language beforehand and get yourself into shape (Stop smoking primarily, cardio at their level will kill you.) then if you really want to, then you should go for it. It's hard, it's tiring, but you do come out as a 'more defined' human being.

Yeah the smoking isn't a problem.

It's actually getting into shape, for example..

I personally dont think i can reach my maximum potential in cardio or any sort of fitness without somebody screaming/shouting/egging me on.

I couldn't peak without having to be pushed over the edge, i couldn't train MYSELF fit enough, solo.

Define "more defined" then :p I think it's kinda useless to risk your life just to kill some people in a country you haven't heard off before, just for the sake of getting money for it.
