Had never heard of it before so decided to do a google image search and it actually looks like a bit of fun Will have a go sometime soon as I'm on my study leave Fed up of coding this damn game of mine anyway so I'll just look at other peoples work instead for a while ^^ Research I guess...<coughs>

edit:Just tried to download the game and/or sign up and their flashy website doesn't work properly so I can't do either. Might try again later I suppose.

I'd second tribal wars, gets quite addictive once you know what you're doing and get a bit higher rank.

dont bother with RF unless you like a fucking lot of grind, as the game is good until 39-40 but the amount of grinding you need to get the 40 spells is a joke

I dont know why people are obsessed with free to play, half the time it ends up costing you more to play on an even playing field because you must have that shop item which costs 8001 credits.

but wait 8000 credits cost you £10.... 16000 credits costs £18(This is just an example)

I agree, free to play game sucks. I once tried Voyage Century Online , was free so seemed great. It was ok at first (korean game so its GRIIIIIIIIIIIND). But after a while when i got seriously bored of grinding and stuff i tried to do some PVP, only to find out you cant kill anyone who had shopped items for IRL cash. So everyone ended up buying stuff for lots of money to compete. It's a fucking shit systen imo.

Tribal Wars, pretty slow game but very addictive once you get your armies built up.

just started it - It's, as you say, quite slow in the beginning. I think I'll need something else to keep me occupied while gathering some recourses

Defend automatically, can whack you an invi to our tribe if you want

They defend automatically but build you walls up to level 10 asap for defence bonuses. Ideally you want a mix of swords and archers for defence with some spears for short range raids and light cavalry for long range raids. Get some scouts up as well as they protect your village from being scouted by others. Once you get over 1500 points you should be able to start building heavy cavalry and then it gets real interesting

Oh check this out, very valuable tool that lets you know which villages are inactive and therefore better targets to raid for resources...

Tribal Wars Map

Just put your village co-ords in and hit the growth monitor, anything orange or red is inactive. Hitting the villages under 150 points that are inactive is a great way of making tons of resources very quickly, especially when you get light cavalry who are very fast and can haul a ton of stolen resources.

hehe ty for the concern we used to play DAoC together, funny thing is that he started playing it first and i was like no way man not interested! so finally he got me to make a char (good ole Ezlai the thurg) and then i played so damned much i commendeered (sp?) the pc and the game and he gave up and I'm still spamming FH rofl.

Oh and when we first started playing it we'd nip off for a boink and B2 would put AFK...i really did think it stood for Away F**King lol.

but now see, now i have a PC and he's got the laptop so it wouldnt be a case of me hogging the pc all the damned time lol.


Anyway any ideas now that ive assured you its not going to lead to the ruination of our lives?
