can someone advise please? normally I'd rather not use windows, but as I've been given a new lappy and happen to have the ultra extended edition of the two towers on my desk I'm feeling frisky

no, but I did tell a temp girl that Scots wear kilts because their genitals are massive and can't be restrained by Y-fronts.

I tried Cygwin, and de-installed after an hour, as it wouldn't run any multi-media type application, or any network applications. It's detection of hardware in the version I tried was crap - what about a minimal install of SUSE/Mandrake/Red Hat, and then running Xine on that ?
